The following hotfixes have been deployed and are now live:

• Friends Window Toggle:
  Resolved an issue where pressing F (default keybind) or clicking the Friends button on the Button Bar did not open the Friends window as expected. The Friends window now toggles correctly.

• House Window Search Enhancements:
  The Search feature in the House window has been improved:

  • Clicking an item's name now opens a context menu for that item.
  • The Highlight Item button has been added and is visible for all items.
  • The Manage Lockdown button has been added and is visible only for items that are locked down. Note: Items inside containers are not locked down and will not display this option. However, you can still use the context menu to interact with the item, provided you have access to it.

• Mannequin Management:
  House owners can now use "I ban thee" on mannequins placed by others, provided the mannequin has been on the property for at least one week. Once banned, mannequins will move to the corner of the plot and begin to decay after an additional week. The house owner will be notified of this action, giving them time to retrieve any belongings from the mannequin before it disappears.

Halloween has officially come to an end for this year! We want to thank everyone who joined us for the festivities, smashing pumpkins, and collecting candy. Your participation made it all the more special, and we hope you had as much fun as we did hosting it.

Use your remaining Halloween raffle tokens to enter the final Halloween lottery for 2024. Find Raff, the lottery official, near Britain Bank to purchase your entries. Tickets cost 10 Halloween raffle tokens each. The draw will take place on Sunday, 24th November, at 9:00 AM UTC.

We've deployed a hotfix for an issue related to Smelting when targeting a lockbox (or other metal crafted containers) with items inside of it causing the container to be smelted but the items inside destroyed by mistake.

Now, it will smelt the items inside of the container as expected if there are any, but if the container is empty then it will attempt to smelt the container itself, if it can be smelted.

Sorry if you encountered an issue with this and incurred any losses.

This fix is now live effective immediately, but may require characters already logged in to log out and back in to receive the update. Thanks

We're excited to announce two new members are joining the team! Pueblo & Fluffy have volunteered to contribute to the project in their free time. Pueblo will be focusing on Architectural Designs and World Building and Fluffy will be focusing on Community Management & Counselor duties so you may see them around in chat, and in the future you may see them assisting players in-game and even running Events from time to time. The Halloween House Decoration Contest deadline has been extended to Nov 17th

Entries will be accepted starting immediately, and the drawing will take place soon after Nov 17th.

• The server-wide alert for when players start and stop horse and cart quests has now been removed.

• An issue preventing players from placing the fowl cannon decoration in their houses has been fixed.

• Loot from the Fowl Frenzy event will no longer spawn too far away from the location of the exploding animals.

This is a reminder that Daylight Savings Time (DST) in the United States ended today, November 3, 2024. Clocks have been set back by one hour, which may affect how game times, events, and restarts appear in your local timezone.

Please remember that our servers run on UTC timezone, and neither the server time nor in-game activity schedules change with DST. All events and restarts will continue to occur at the same times in UTC. However, due to the DST change, the time at which these activities appear in your local timezone may have shifted.

As DST adjustments happen at different times around the world, we recommend checking your local time against UTC to stay on track with event schedules.

Fixed a bug that prevented the webmap to be opened if the region was changed.

Close and reopen the launcher to fetch the update and then you can use /webmap in game at any time now.

NOTE: Dungeons are not supported yet, so you will see yourself in a random location in the britannia map.

We’re thrilled to announce the winners of this year’s Halloween Lottery! Taking 1st place is Felonious Monk, followed by StainedSoul in 2nd, and Helldon in 3rd. Each of these players will receive a special Halloween prize filled with rare and spooky items to enhance their adventures in Britannia.

• Corpse explosion:

  • Now can be cast without corpses around, will hit once only (nearest target).
  • Damage gets reduced if spammed, scaling on a 6 seconds timer.
  • Now exploded corpses will grant souls.

• Haunt:

  • Now on the first ghost appearance will cause a stun. (1 Second for players/pets, 2 Seconds for mobs).

• Ghost Blade:

  • Increased: Speed, Str, Dex, Health, Damage, Armor, Tactics, Wrestling, Magery, EvalInt
  • Reduced: ControlSlots (4 > 2)

• Blood Siphon:

  • Cursed Crook will not be unequipped during the spell.

Ever lose or misplace an item in your house? Now you can search for it! Available immediately, you can find the Search magnifying glass button in the house menu and search for locked down/secured items for the house. Clicking on an item in the list will play an arrow and circular highlighting effect over the item's position in the house so you can locate it. Hope this helps you track down your items!

• The necromancer vendor now sells a scroll that turns a horse and cart into an undead entity.

• The range of the telekinesis spell has been increased, and it can now activate exploding barrels.

• Undead players can now use vanity pets.

• Grave diggers can now find undead dragon bones, though they are rare. Once you have collected 100, you can transform them into an undead ethereal dragon mount.

Just a reminder that Season 4 is coming to an end soon.

It was originally scheduled to end Oct 22nd but we are going to extend it by an additional couple of weeks through the Halloween season, and we will plan to start Season 5 shortly after Halloween ends (specific date will be announced as we get closer)

For the next season we plan to add in some additional season goals related to the upcoming holidays Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year to make seasons even more fun and rewarding.

We experienced server issues during our recent event, which affected the overall gameplay experience. As a result, we will be rescheduling the event to the same time next week to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate as intended.

For now, players can hunt Azureite Elementals to collect Halloween Azureite ore. Bring three pieces of ore to Spooky Marv at the Artists' Guild in Britain to receive exclusive Halloween paintings as rewards!

Also, be on the lookout for Puzzle Chests, which contain these Halloween paintings as well!

The chances of obtaining loot, such as decorative vines and other items, from moat fishing have been increased.

Here are some of the activities planned for the Halloween event:

• A treasure hunt for the rare version SOB 2000 flying broom.

• A Halloween raffle vendor offering prizes such as a Halloween Dragon Pet Dye, Dancing Skeleton, and Halloween Gauntlet.

• A treasure hunt for puzzle-locked chests containing rare paintings.

• A horse and cart Azurite collection event, where players team up to find and defeat Azurite Elementals. Collecting three pieces of Azurite ore and returning them to the art collector in Britain will reward players with rare Halloween-themed paintings.

• Teleporters have been placed to the Halloween Bazaar @ Yew Bank at each town's bank
• The Bazaar Vendor rental spots are now 20% off their rental price
• We're deploying the new Halloween MOBA Arena, but it still needs a little more work, and won't yet be accessible to players, but you may see the "loudungeons" asset bundle update when you login today
• Added new Halloween Torch, Halloween Orange variant.
• Added new Toxic Kettle, Toxic Green and Halloween Kettle, Halloween Orange.
• Added new Halloween Metal Shield, Halloween Orange variant.
• Added new Halloween Wizard Hat, Halloween Orange variant.

• Undead Drake/Dragon dyes have been added to the 4-year veteran rewards.

• A new rare forest spirit tamable has been added to the world.

• New loot has been added to the Fowl Frenzy event.

Halloween 2024 Activities

• Halloween Activities:

  • The Halloween festivities are being deployed across Britannia and will be available throughout October 2024, ending Nov 17th
  • There will be a Halloween handout for logging in closer to the holiday and staff-run events as time permits.
  • Pumpkins and Halloween Gravesites will be scattered across the over-world.
  • Smash the pumpkins and defeat monsters for a chance to get a reward or candy to spend at the Halloween Vendors.
  • Exploding pumpkins have also been added to Halloween Gravesite Spawns that can be blown up with exploding barrels and have a rare chance to drop special Halloween loot. Read more about Exploding Barrels here: https://wiki.shardsofbritannia.com/en/barrels
  • Halloween activities may be added-on to throughout the month, so stay tuned for future updates.

• Halloween Dungeon:

  • The Halloween Dungeon will be available throughout the season and is marked on the map: https://map.shardsofbritannia.com.
  • :new: The Dungeon entrance is temporarily blocked by monsters and requires community effort to take them down and open the Halloween Dungeon once and for all; there's a 24 hour time limit on the spawn until it resets, so it would be best to work together to get the dungeon opened
  • Level 1 of this dungeon includes Halloween Dungeon monsters, which can drop candy or other Halloween goodies.
  • Throughout Levels 1 and 2, there will be jack-o-lanterns for smashing & graves for digging.
  • In the middle of Level 2, there is a Spawn Altar for spawning the Halloween Champion spawn. This encounter can be started with the Skull of Hallows Eve, purchased from the Halloween Witch in exchange for Blood Candles.

• Upcoming: New MOBA Arena Dungeon

  • A new landmass has been added in the Dungeons facet that will soon be used for the Chucky Doll MOBA Game

• Halloween Paragons:

  • Chance for compatible monsters to spawn as a Halloween Paragon, which may drop a reward or candy to be spent at the Candy Vendor, as well as a chance to drop raffle tokens (see below)
  • Paragons have the highest chance to spawn in the Daily Dungeon, followed by other dungeons and over-world zones.
  • Paragons in the Daily Dungeon will have a higher chance to drop special items.

• Cleaning Up Britannia:

  • You will be able to trade your Cleaning Up Britannia points for Halloween candy.
  • Make sure to turn in any old holiday items you no longer want for points to be converted into candy!

• Halloween Vendors:

  • Candy Hoarder Vendor: Collect candy by smashing pumpkins and defeating Halloween mobs to buy Halloween goodies.

  • Witch Vendor: Collect Blood Candles from smashing pumpkins and defeating Halloween mobs to trade for the Invasion Spawn activator.

  • Dig up graves to enjoy chances to obtain more goodies and a chance to spawn the Headless Horseman for even more rewards!

• Fishers, Miners, Lumberjacks oh my!

  • Small chance to find candy while fishing mining & lumberjacking

• Trick or Treat with the Begging Skill:

  • Dress in your Halloween best and approach town vendors to gather sweets. Each vendor has a fixed amount of candy.
  • Activate the Begging skill on vendors while in costume.
  • Each vendor provides candy once, with a daily limit for each household.

• OUIJA Board Interactivity:

  • OUIJA boards have come alive! Engage with them at home to communicate with the other side.
  • Using the OUIJA board during the Halloween season will have a chance to spawn a ghost that can drop candy when killed

• Halloween Bazaar:

  • The Halloween Bazaar will be hosted atop the Yew Bank (Empath Abbey)
  • Direct Moongates will be available next to Halloween Vendor tents and in Public Moongate destinations.
  • Vendor deeds will be available on the roof for player rental until November 17th, 2024

• Halloween Decoration Contest:

  • The Halloween House Decoration Contest is back!
  • Entries will be accepted starting immediately, and the drawing will take place on November 8th, 2024.
  • Prizes will be announced soon.

• Halloween Raffle:

  • The Halloween Raffle Vendor will set up shop near the Halloween Vendor in Britain soon.
  • The Halloween Raffle drawing will occur at 11/01/2024 9am, at which point 3 winners will be drawn.
  • Halloween Raffle tokens can be found on Paragons, exploding pumpkins and from grave digging.
  • More details about the prizes will be shared soon!

If you are in any position where you cannot get to the game for an extended time, whether it be military deployment, natural disasters, or something else please reach out to us, and we can consider your request to put your house into a Vacation Hold to prevent it from decaying in the normal timeframe.

Even if you need to Direct Message a member of staff, this would be the one reason to do so.

We've finally resolved that old bug preventing the Lady/Lord title from appearing when your character has enough Fame & Karma and the option to show the title enabled. The fix has been deployed and will be available after the next server restart.
