Mega Patch: Over 100 Fixes From Your Reports
Thank you to everyone who sent in bug reports from the game and kept the Known Issues thread going. We went through every report since Britannia began, checked each one, and this patch fixes over a hundred of them, along with a few changes you asked for.
⚔️ Combat & Monsters
- Monster Aggro – Monsters now focus on whoever deals the most damage, not whoever lands the most hits, so tanking and pulling behave more predictably.
- Summons – Summons of the same caster, or of casters in the same group, no longer fight each other; energy vortexes and blade spirits attack paragons again; new summons obey attack orders right away.
- Stun & Paralyze – Monsters recover properly after a paralyze or stun instead of occasionally standing frozen.
- Mage Buckler – Wrestling stun and disarm abilities work while wearing a mage buckler.
- Slayer Weapons – Slayer bonuses work against Christmas paragons.
- Shame Elementals – Blood elementals on Shame level 4 no longer fight the other elementals.
- Dino Riders – Riders no longer vanish together with their corpse and loot when killed.
- Kill Credit – Group members near a kill who did no damage now see "You did not get credit because you did no damage."
- Equipping – Overweight players can equip items they are already carrying.
- Winter Shield – The Christmas gift shield counts as a real shield, so it can no longer be used with a two-handed weapon.
- Throwable Spider Egg – Charges are used up properly and the egg is removed after its last charge.
- Smoke Bomb Talisman – No longer takes the torch slot or gives off torch light.
🐾 Pets & Taming
- Pet Skill Cap – Every pet now has a 900 total skill cap, so pets that pick up extra skills can keep training; players stay at 700.
- Pet Meditation – Pets with Meditation regenerate mana faster, up to 1.5x at 100 skill.
- Pets on Boats – Pets standing on a boat can reach and attack targets just past the hull, including nightmares and night llamas.
- Herding While Mounted – Riding your own tamed mount lets you train Herding from your melee hits; ethereal, statue, summoned and vanity mounts do not count.
- Pet Healing – Pets no longer waste heals at or near full health, and keep their normal chance to heal over a long fight.
- Undead Pets – Undead pets keep training Magery, Evaluating Intelligence and Meditation past 700 total skill.
- Pet Food – The pet food buff applies, refreshes and clears its icon correctly.
- Stable Fees – Stable fees count whole days instead of jumping a day at the half-day mark.
- Cart Horses – Pets whose owner has returned no longer count as abandoned, so cart horses stop wandering off.
- Dispelled Summons – Dispelling a summon frees its pet slot immediately.
- Clockwork Golem – The kit summons a working golem and is only used up when the summon succeeds.
- Trading Undead Mounts – Undead steeds, carts and pig mounts can be traded to necromancers.
- Taming – Removed a stray debug message that appeared on every taming attempt.
🛡️ Mercenaries
- Defend Mode – Mercenaries have a new "Only fight if we are attacked" option (also "all defend"): they follow you, never start fights, and strike back at anything that attacks them or you.
- Follow, Come & Stay – These orders keep your mercenary defending you instead of turning it fully passive.
- Mercenary Orders – You can open your own mercenary's menu again, "all stop" keeps it passive until you give a new order, and aggressive mercenaries no longer freeze after a kill.
✨ Magic & Necromancy
- Blood Siphon – The initial hit works with any weapon; its siphon over time runs while you hold a cursed crook, drains more with higher Spirit Speak (full strength at 100), no longer knocks other weapons out of your hand, and ends when its duration runs out.
- Transfusion – Transfusion and Greater Transfusion cost the mana their tooltips show, and can be cast in town again along with Mitigate Poison.
- Cocoon & Death Ward – A refused cast no longer spends mana or reagents.
- Spirit Speak – Soul collection handles every corpse in a stack, and the cursed crook can raise a corpse an earlier cast already touched.
- Soul Collector – Red players can trade with the soul collector.
- Skeletal Steeds – Animated skeletal steeds expire after 5 minutes as intended, and put their rider down when they do.
- Ghost Blade – Belongs to its caster and takes orders as soon as it appears.
- Meditation – Spells that land a few seconds after casting, like Explosion, no longer break your meditation, and the shepherd's crook stays equipped while meditating.
- Runebook Recall – Recall charges follow the same rules as the Recall spell.
- Mark Scrolls – A Mark scroll is no longer used up when marking is refused in a house or no-mark area.
- Magic Trap – A magic-trapped bag stays armed through relogs until the trap expires.
- Paralyze Field – Holds monsters when the caster belongs to a faction.
- Black Hole – Pulls in every monster in range, not just some of them.
- Summoner's Tome – Veil Shards unlock a missing spell when you hold exactly 7 spells.
- Resurrection – A failed priest resurrection no longer leaves you frozen, and the 3-year Resurrection Ankh recognises its owner.
- Poison – The poison buff tooltip shows the real damage.
🧸 Young Players & PvP
- Young Protection – Young players cannot harm, kill, loot, steal from or snoop on other players or their pets, summons and mercenaries, and other players cannot do any of that to them; fighting monsters is unaffected.
- Guards – Calling guards on a criminal who cannot be guard-whacked now brings a guard who explains why nothing happens.
- Leaderboards – PvP and bounty leaderboards no longer list deleted characters and sort highest first.
- Bounty Heads – Heads worth no bounty are no longer used up without payment.
- Post-Death Protection – Being hit by a monster no longer ends your PvP protection after death.
- Faction Pillars – Crossing the arena line no longer fully heals you.
🔨 Crafting & Bulk Orders
- Tailoring Bulk Orders – Leather orders earn points by leather type, like ore for Blacksmithy, and Infernal and Dragonhide pay correctly.
- Bulk Orders – A large order refuses a small order it already has instead of destroying it.
- Salvaging – Salvage tools no longer destroy insured items.
- Skill Gains – Crafting gains no longer stall when you sit exactly at a recipe's minimum skill.
- Failed Crafts – Materials are refunded when the finished item cannot be created.
- Crafting Stacks – Crafts that merge into an existing stack still show the success message and item log.
- Maker's Mark – Crafted gear keeps its maker's mark in house and gardener resource chests, so smelting it returns the normal share of ingots instead of almost nothing.
- Majestic Dovetail Saw – Can be equipped and used.
- Waterspout – Costs the ingot type you choose.
- Barrels – Blaze Catalyst and Barrel Fuse work on barrels in your backpack, and the exploding barrel recipe no longer destroys a barrel with its contents.
- Disenchanting – Magic shields can be disenchanted for shard essence.
- Black Dye Tub – Using a black dye tub lets you choose Flat Black (colour) or Textured Black (hue).
🏠 Housing & Boats
- House Placement – The placement box follows the real roof shape.
- Moving Crate – Owners and co-owners can take locked chests out of the moving crate, and the crate is no longer put away in the middle of unpacking.

- Plot Kick – No longer throws player vendors out of the plot.
- House Teleporter Stone – The two-way stone works for players who recall in next to it.

🎣 Gathering, Fishing & Treasure
- Ingenious Chests – A rare, richer ingenious chest can now appear in place of a devious chest in the deepest levels of Destard and Deceit.
- Sunken Cursed Chests – Killing the last guardian gives you a fresh 20 minutes to open and loot the chest.
- SOS Treasure – Parked boats and decorations no longer block SOS treasure spots.
- Fishing – Cutting fish no longer reports steaks that weren't made or destroys the fish.
- Group Loot – Items that can't be split between group members are shared out in turn.
- Spawns – Monsters no longer spawn in water.
- Lumberjacking – Moving items in your bags no longer interrupts chopping.
- Skinning Knife – Can harvest tailoring resource camps and hide piles.
- Treasure Maps – Undeciphered maps decipher reliably, grave digging no longer repeats the map message, digging in the wrong spot says "You can't dig there," and opening an empty chest no longer re-credits the treasure challenge.
- Mining Caves – Timer warnings match the real time left in the cave.
- Gardening – Plant tooltips show the growth time with soil bonuses, Oxygen and Nasty seeds show their own names, and the putrid plant seed drops as a seed.
- Fowl Frenzy – The giant chicken statue no longer vanishes ten minutes after dropping.
💰 Vendors, Guilds & Trading
- Trading – A cancelled trade no longer drops your items on the ground.

- Chef – No longer offers 0 gold for cheap items.
- Bank Checks – A check spent down to 0 is removed.
- Guilds – A guild that lost its guildstone can place a new one right away, only authorised ranks can set member titles, and the Thieves Guild no longer destroys a reward bag that still holds items.
- Raffles – Drawing times are labelled UTC.
📜 Quests, Seasons & Interface
- Season Challenges – Destard drakes count for Dragon hunting, stone golems and stone harpy sentinels count as stone monsters, and costume candy begging counts toward the Begging challenge.
