We’re excited to announce the start of our overworld revamp, aimed at making hunting more fun and challenging. These are only the first of many upcoming changes to overworld spawns. The first areas updated include:

• Wind Mountain Area

  • Harpies that previously spawned alongside drakes have been moved to an area outside Covetous.
  • Fire Elementals and Dragons now spawn alongside the drakes, offering a tougher challenge.

• Yew Peninsula (NW of Shame)

  • This region has been overrun by the undead.
  • The ruins once inhabited by Lizardmen are now guarded by Liches and Lich Lords with hordes of weaker undead roaming the area.

We hope you enjoy these changes and look forward to hearing your feedback as we continue to improve the game world!

• New items have been added to the fishing vendor in the Britain moat.

• Talismans can now be insured unless they are cursed. New talismans have been added to the game.

• Paragons now have a small chance to drop puzzle chests when killed.

• The drop rates for mining and lumberjacking rare loot have been adjusted.

Reapers now have a small chance to spawn while lumberjacking, with their difficulty increasing based on the type of wood harvested.

Using a Treant Hatchet significantly increases the chance of spawning a Reaper. This special hatchet can be purchased from Fletching and Carpenter NPCs for 50 BOD points.

Beware, these are magical creatures!

• A new spell for summoners has been added, 'Channeled Celestara', which is a flying mount.

• Three new talismans for summoners have been added to the game; they can be found as loot from bosses, treasure chests, and more!

• Smoke bombs can no longer be used while mounted.

• Fixed some issues with smoke bombs not working in certain circumstances.

• Updated summoner talismans' item descriptions, tooltips, and vendor descriptions.

• Added new items to moat fishing and adjusted drop rates.

• Added more loot to the overworld mini bosses.

Rare Magic Hat Recipes:

Discover a touch of magic with our newly added rare, one-time-use recipes for crafting magic hats! These extraordinary hats grant unique effects when casting the Recall spell, offering adventurers a new way to enhance their journeys.

These rare recipes can now be found on the following mini-bosses:

Flain, Talornia, Burzum, Bonn and Arcadion.

In addition to the new recipes, these mini-bosses have received loot table updates, so make sure to challenge them and uncover their new treasures!

Updates for Disarm Thieves:

We’ve made some changes to improve the thrill and strategy of being a disarm thief:

Disarm thieves now receive a 20% bonus to an attempted steal immediately after disarming a player. Players disarmed by a thief will now experience a brief stun, leaving them momentarily vulnerable. Additionally, players disarmed by a thief can no longer commit suicide to give the thief a murder count. These changes aim to refine the balance and dynamic interactions between thieves and their targets, fostering more engaging gameplay.

Great news, decorators! We’ve extended the Winter House Deco Contest deadline through this weekend, giving you a few extra days to finalize your festive designs. Judging will take place next weekend. This change serves two purposes: it gives more casual players the opportunity to engage with the Bulk Order system and frees up additional time for players to focus on other aspects of the game.

This change will go live after the server restart.

As the holiday season wraps up, here's what you need to know:

• The Winter Dungeon will close at the end of the day today so finish your adventures while you can! (at 9am Jan 9th UTC)
• Santa will remain until the end of the month to trade Candy for gifts.
• Keep your Candy! It can be used again next year, so don’t throw it out!

Soon, all Winter Weapons both existing and new will be automatically updated to include the powerful Frostbane Slayer feature!

Want to face him again? Use Krampus Bait, available for purchase from Santa at his Workshop, to summon him once more!

• Treant Hatchet added as a BOD reward costing 75 points. Using this hatchet has a chance to spawn a Reaper monster which will scale in difficulty based off the wood type being cut.
• A Bulk Order Vendor is available at Moonglow Bank with hatchet for testing.

SANTA'S FOR-SALE OPTIONS: it looks like many of the items were inadvertently disabled on Santa's sell-list this year and we've corrected it so all of the items will be available that are intended, sorry for the confusion! Santa's listings have been fixed!

We will work on adding some new additions very soon as well.

Winter Dungeon: we have increased the spawn rate in the Winter Dungeon once more

A chilling adventure awaits in the new Winter Dungeon! Frostfang, a fearsome Wendigo boss, has kidnapped Santa and is holding him hostage deep within the icy caverns. It’s up to you to brave the dungeon, defeat Frostfang, and rescue Santa to save Christmas!

What You Need to Know:

• How to Enter: Head to Santa's Workshop and travel North. Look for the hole in the ground marked as "Tunnel" on the minimap. A Wandering Healer is nearby to assist in your journey.
• Dungeon Rules: The Winter Dungeon is a Guarded Zone, but beware, monsters are immune to Guards. You’ll need to rely on your wits and strength to survive.
• Rescue Santa: After defeating Frostfang, speak to Santa and escort him back to his Workshop in Windemere. Santa is invulnerable but keep yourself safe along the way!
• Start Trading: Santa must be rescued before he can open his Workshop and start trading Candy for festive gifts.
• Unique Rewards: Brave adventurers can also obtain a couple of exclusive Frostfang-inspired items, adding a frosty touch to your collection!
