• Our new horse and cart system has been added! You can now start a new quest to gather all the items required to make a horse and cart. Look for the quest giver near the Minoc stables. After hunting some skeletons and zombies in the graveyards and collecting a number of undead crystals, you will need to acquire the following items: 1 x Bridle, 1 x Cart, Bolts, and a Shrunken Percheron horse. You will most likely need to work with fellow players who have GM crafters that can help you make these items. Carpenters, Tinkerers, and Blacksmiths will be needed to craft all the parts.

You will also need the help of a GM tamer to track down a Percheron horse needed to pull the cart. Once acquired, you will need to find Luke the Wizard, a powerful Dimensional Reductionist, and have him shrink the horse for you. Luke can usually be found wondering around the Dungeons of Britannia. Afterward, return to the quest giver to receive your very own horse and cart.

New treasure has been added to the world, which can be obtained via fishing, mining, lumberjacking, and from world bosses. These include extremely large treasure chests and rare large mushrooms. You will need to use a horse and cart to move these items and seek out Luke the Wizard, who will move locations from time to time. He can shrink the treasure chests for you so you can access your treasure. You may also find extremely large Britannia crystals that will need shrinking. This is a new currency that can be used to buy items from Ben the Wizard in Britain. The items on this vendor will change from time to time.

When moving these large, heavy items in the carts, you will not be able to fast travel. The horse will not be able to enter portals, get on ships, recall, be summoned by a stable master, and will be left behind if the player uses their Hearthstone.

Horse and cart dyes can be fished up outside of towns but not inside dungeons or the deep sea.

We are planning to add some type of "Caravan System/Quests" in the near future where players can start a quest to move large heavy items for an NPC. A server-wide alert will be sent out when this quest has been started, and players will need to move the cart to a number of locations to complete the quest and receive payment.

• We are currently working on automating the magic chest found within the Banks of Britannia, and it should be added very soon!

• The new horse and cart system is now live. More details will come in the next few days, but for now, you can speak to Oliver next to the Minoc stables to start a quest and begin your journey to acquire your very own horse and cart.

• The Celtic Idol dye tub can now dye more statues, including Ebris, Pyros, and Tethys statues.

• A new 3 year veteran reward has been added. It is a veteran death shroud deed that can change chest armor to look like a death shroud. This deed is everlasting. It also comes with a special dye tub with all the colors of the existing veteran death shrouds.

Players who already own a veteran death shroud can swap them for the new reward at any item fixer in the game. You can find one at the counselor's guild in Britain.

House Refresh Improvements

• when you login to the game, if you own any houses, the houses will immediately be sent a refresh signal and your character will receive a confirmation message to let you know it's been refreshed
• house refresh confirmation messages will now show the house's name, location, region and the time it was refreshed, to make it easier to keep track of house refresh times in cases where you might be away for a while
• improved refreshing house through interacting with items in the house like lockdowns, containers, doors, and the house sign; previously there was a cooldown between these interactions to prevent spamming "the house has been refreshed" to players, instead now it will perform the refresh and only avoid the system message spam
• reminder: if you need to be away from the game for longer than 3-4 weeks, please contact us for Vacation Hold on your houses, where we can hold them for up to 90 days of leave

Vendor Deeds:

• added gender selection when using vendor deeds
• added confirmation prompt when attempting to place vendor to educate users about Vendor Fees

In-game Map:

• the in-game map now defaults to Draggable for QOL

• Cora the Sorceress has had some new abilities added and updated loot tables.

• Peculiar tentacle plants have established their presence within Britannia. If you possess exploding barrels, you may attempt to destroy them, as they often harbor loot from adventures they've intercepted.

• The Demonic Minotaur's loot table has been fixed, and the pressure traps at its location no longer instantly kill players.

The Ethereal Wings Lottery is live! Visit Merlin Skyfeather near Britain Bank to enter. The cost is 10 raffle tokens, which can be found as loot on Paragon monsters. The lottery will be drawn on 22/5/2024.

• All Necromancer pet animations have now been fixed.

One of our community members advised us that Microsoft Defender is flagging our setup application as containing a trojan.
For the moment, we have removed this installation option and submitted the file to Microsoft for analysis as we believe the file is fine and that this is a 'false positive' in the latest MS Defender definitions.

This is supported by scans on such sites as Virustotal and Jotti, which you can use yourself if you have any concerns. We'll return that installation method as an option once Microsoft sorts things out for us.

• Runic sewing kits can now create runic bone armor

• Crafted fish oil will no longer be created in pouches.
• Fixed an issue with crafted golden fishing rods having a base durability of 1.
• Updated the weapons in the Deceit weapon caches to no longer use durability prefixes when generated.

Holiday items are currently restricted from being inserted into the House Resource/Gear Chests due to unique properties that holiday items can have, such as the tooltip, color, or other attributes that may not be retained properly when inserting and removing them from these chests. In the future we will try to improve the system so it can handle unique items more readily. Thanks for your understanding & apologies for the inconvenience

We've deployed a hotfix to resolve issues with individual Season Challenges showing as "( Complete )" when they are actually at "0 / N" progress.

The Spring Bazaar is kicking off at Castle Britannia in West Britain! Stop by just North/NW of the West Britain Bank and rent your vendor spot today. The vendors will be available until May 20th. If you have a vendor rented after the deadline passes, the vendor's gold, equipment & backpack contents will be packed up into your account vault for later retrieval. Happy trading!

A patch has been released for the Shards of Britannia Launcher. If you have trouble connecting please make sure to close the game and launcher completely and then re-open the SoB Launcher. The launcher should download the update automatically. This update should improve issues people have been having recently with not being able to stay connected.

The Easter Egg hunt has commenced! Easter Egg Nests will be scattered throughout the overworld for you to find. Double click the eggs to try opening them for fun surprises and goodies! Monsters also have a chance to spawn as Easter Paragon which can also drop Easter carrots and goodies.

Collect Fabled Carrots to spend at the Easter Vendor who can be found on the Britain Bank Roof. They will also buy some of the items you may get from the eggs in exchange for more Fabled Carrots.

The Carrot & Egg Hunt will be live until April 15th & the Easter vendor will be available until April 30th

• The weapon caches inside Dungeon Deceit will now be automatically refilled every 24 hours.

• Faction players can no longer use Camouflage Potions.

-The Riddle Vendor in Britain Castle now sells a new jester mount for 60 riddle tokens. Chuckles the jester has hidden special riddles in all the towns of Britannia! Double-click on inanimate objects to try to find them and earn riddle tokens.

• We have fixed an issue with the weight of fish oil. You should now be able to hold large amounts of it in your pack when crafting.

• Tinkerers can now craft golden fishing rods using fish oil and regular fishing rods.

Alchemists can now craft fish oil. This oil can currently be used in the recipe to craft exploding barrels, and more uses will be added soon.
