  • Added testing vendors to Britain Bank
  • Reduced the timer on bulk order deed collections to 5 seconds and the amount you receive to 30 to aid with testing

NOTICE: These changes are currently only available on the Test Center for testing purposes & are subject to change at any time

A channel called 'fletching-carp-bulk-order-testing' has been created on the SoB Discord under the TEST CENTER section for feedback.

  • A bug that caused loot from Tentacle plants to decay when logging in and out has been fixed.

  • The delivery cart quest is now limited to one character per account every 48 hours. You will also need to have a horse and cart with you to start the quest.

  • A red version of Oliver the farmer, who gives out the Horse and Cart quest, is now in Buccs. There is also a vendor named Solom who sells stolen treasure in exchange for shrunken stolen delivery keys.

  • Murderers who steal delivery keys from the delivery quest can take them to the NPC Golom in Shame level 4 to have them shrunk. Golom will only help murderers if they have 20 or more murder counts.

  • All the treasure that can be found in the new cart system can now show you how long it has until it decays. Right-click on the object and select Check Decay.

We've deployed a hotfix that will resolve issues with Carpentry and Tailoring workbenches (crafted) not having the container functionality that was intended to be added in a prior patch:

This fix is not retroactive, you will need to re-deed and re-place your workbenches to get them updated.

Re: PK Balance

As we continue to refine the dynamics of player interactions, particularly concerning player-versus-player interactions (PvP), we are excited to share the updates of our latest balancing patch. These changes are crafted with the aim of enhancing fairness and enjoyment for all participants, especially focusing on the impacts of non-consensual PvP encounters.

Patch Notes:

  • Hearthstone Cooldown (Lord's Boon): The cooldown for using the Hearthstone, known as Lord's Boon, has been increased from 1 hour to 2 hours. This adjustment is designed to carefully balance the powerful ability to escape danger, encouraging more strategic planning and usage.

  • Notoriety Confirmation: We have removed the forced confirmation pop-up for PKs attempting to attack players who have recently died. This change aims to reduce unnecessary gameplay interruptions.

  • Murder Count Decay: The time required for murder counts to decay has been significantly reduced from 72 hours to 24 hours. This change will help players return to neutral status more quickly, fostering a more dynamic and flexible approach to player interactions.

  • Murderer Restrictions:

    • Dungeon Lockout: The lockout period for murderers from accessing dungeons has been halved from 2 hours to 1 hour. This reduction allows players to reintegrate into neutral activities more swiftly, maintaining engagement and reducing downtime.
    • Hostile Action Prevention: The time restriction on performing hostile actions has been decreased from 2 hours to 1 hour. This change aims to balance punitive measures with the ongoing rhythm of gameplay, allowing for a quicker return to normal activities.
    • Murderer Death Punishment: We are now preventing murder restrictions for murderers who die outside of PvP combat, specifically if they have not been recently involved in combat with another player. This adjustment ensures penalties are more contextually appropriate and fair.

These updates reflect our commitment to balancing the thrill and challenges of PK with the fairness and enjoyment expected by all players. We appreciate your ongoing feedback, which is invaluable in guiding these adjustments. Please continue to share your thoughts on these changes.

We look forward to your continued engagement and feedback as these updates go live.

  • All the Percheron Horse spawns are now all regional and randomized. They will appear in different locations each time.
  • New Percheron regional spawners have been added.
  • Existing Percheron spawners have been updated to spawn randomly over a longer period of time.
  • Extremely heavy treasure, when found, will decay after 7 days but can now be locked down in houses.
  • A treasure polymorph scroll has been added to turn your treasure into a mushroom. Fifteen scrolls can be bought for 1 Britannia Crystal from Wizard Ben. These are handy when you have found some treasure but you need to go to another location to get your Horse and Cart.
  • The extremely large treasure found for the new Horse and Cart system will now decay after 7 days. You can keep the treasure inside your cart until you’re ready to hand it in.

  • An issue affecting normal pack horses from going through portals has now been fixed.

We're working on deploying World Chat back to the game! Previously world chat was disabled due to occasional server crashes caused by the feature, so we've worked on improvements to stability and performance and resolved the root causes of any crashes.

Please make sure you're up-to date with the Communication Rules to avoid putting your world-chat privileges at risk. Thanks for playing fair!

We hope that the comeback of World Chat helps players communicate better and create more positive interactions for new players and veterans alike. Enjoy!

To talk in world chat:

  • use the /c command (short for chat), ex: /c hello world
  • click the "Say" button at the bottom left of the chat box in-game and switch it to "World Chat" (note: if this option doesn't appear, make sure World Chat is toggled ON in settings and then you may need to log back in to update your chat)

Toggle World Chat, Ignore & Report options:

  • a new option when right-clicking yourself "Chat Options" takes you to the updated Character Settings -> Chat & Whisper page with the following options:
    • Toggle World Chat: this allows you to enable/disable world-chat visibility for your character
    • Block/Report Users: this brings up a list of recent messages you've seen (local, whisper & chat) and allows you to Block said user or Report their speech if it violates the rules
    • Unblock Users: this brings up a list of users you've blocked allowing you to un-block Note: Ignoring a player will block their local speech, whispers to you, world chat messages, and any other chat messages from them

Two Way Channel: a two-way Discord channel has been added here where players who are not currently logged into the game can join in on the discussion

Note: Some or all features may not work correctly during the initial rollout, please check back again soon if something doesn't work right

Our new horse and cart system has been added! You can now start a new quest to gather all the items required to make a horse and cart. Look for the quest giver near the Minoc stables. After hunting some skeletons and zombies in the graveyards and collecting a number of undead crystals, you will need to acquire the following items: 1 x Bridle, 1 x Cart, Bolts, and a Shrunken Percheron horse. You will most likely need to work with fellow players who have GM crafters that can help you make these items. Carpenters, Tinkerers, and Blacksmiths will be needed to craft all the parts. You will also need the help of a GM tamer to track down a Percheron horse needed to pull the cart. Once acquired, you will need to find Luke the Wizard, a powerful Dimensional Reductionist, and have him shrink the horse for you. Luke can usually be found wondering around the Dungeons of Britannia. Afterward, return to the quest giver to receive your very own horse and cart.

New treasure has been added to the world, which can be obtained via fishing, mining, lumberjacking, and from world bosses. These include extremely large treasure chests and rare large mushrooms. You will need to use a horse and cart to move these items and seek out Luke the Wizard, who will move locations from time to time. He can shrink the treasure chests for you so you can access your treasure. You may also find extremely large Britannia crystals that will need shrinking. This is a new currency that can be used to buy items from Ben the Wizard in Britain. The items on this vendor will change from time to time.

When moving these large, heavy items in the carts, you will not be able to fast travel. The horse will not be able to enter portals, get on ships, recall, be summoned by a stable master, and will be left behind if the player uses their Hearthstone.

Horse and cart dyes can be fished up outside of towns but not inside dungeons or the deep sea.

We are planning to add some type of "Caravan System/Quests" in the near future where players can start a quest to move large heavy items for an NPC. A server-wide alert will be sent out when this quest has been started, and players will need to move the cart to a number of locations to complete the quest and receive payment.

  • The new horse and cart system is now live. More details will come in the next few days, but for now, you can speak to Oliver next to the Minoc stables to start a quest and begin your journey to acquire your very own horse and cart.
  • The Celtic Idol dye tub can now dye more statues, including Ebris, Pyros, and Tethys statues.
  • A new 3 year veteran reward has been added. It is a veteran death shroud deed that can change chest armor to look like a death shroud. This deed is everlasting. It also comes with a special dye tub with all the colors of the existing veteran death shrouds.

Players who already own a veteran death shroud can swap them for the new reward at any item fixer in the game. You can find one at the counselor's guild in Britain.
