Fixed an issue preventing characters from joining a faction when they are in a guild that has a faction assigned already

We wanted to take a moment to reach out to our wonderful community of players and express our gratitude for your continued support of our video game project. We know that many of you have been patiently waiting for updates and improvements, and we wanted to address some of the concerns that have been circulating recently.

First and foremost, we want to remind everyone that we are a team of volunteers who work on this project in our free time. We don't have the luxury of spending every waking moment on it, but we are doing the best we can with the time we have. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to make this game the best it can be.

We value your feedback and take all reports seriously. Please understand that it may take us some time to sort through and process all of the feedback we receive, but we promise to take action on anything that requires it.

We understand that some of you may be feeling frustrated or disappointed with the pace of our progress or perceived lack of action or progress, but we want to assure you that we are committed to making this game a success. We ask for your patience and understanding as we continue to work on it, and we promise to keep you updated on any major developments.

  • Some items in the faction shop can now only be used by players assigned to a faction, this will not affect any current existing items. The new SL, MX & TB faction mounts, factions cloaks with a glow and the black faction cloak can now only be used by faction players.

  • New loot has been added to dungeon and deep water fishing.

  • Moat fishing loot has been updated.

Dynamic loot has been added to the Ancient Poison Elemental, Ancient Reaper and the Ancient King Crab.

We've fixed an issue causing the Skill Window's Skill Cap input to not handle cases where players enter a Comma instead of a Period for a decimal place, causing the Skill Cap to be set to 0 by error; now you can use a period or a comma.

We've improved House Packing for houses that have many items locked down, it will now pack the items in chunks over a short duration to avoid causing server stalls or lag. During this period you will see a progress bar and will be unable to log out instantly or switch server-regions to ensure that the packing is able to complete and you receive the deed.

Character Reflections will be going on sale very soon for 50% off, for a limited time, until July 1st. You can access Character Reflections from within the Skills window

We will soon be deploying a change that will allow users of Large Towers & Castles to decorate items inside their homes beyond the ceiling, allowing for more decorative freedom.

We will soon be deploying the following changes.

Resource/Durability Consumption:

  • resources are no longer consumed in duels, including potions (now includes faction events), but players will still need to carry resources in order to use them
  • equipment durability is no longer consumed in duels

Outfitter (Skill Rental):

  • players can invoke the /outfitter command at any time to open the Outfitter menu, where you can manage the Outfitter system
  • enabling the Outfitter system will attempt to use the selected custom skills & stats temporarily during Duels & Faction Events, for a small fee

As previously announced, we will soon be deploying the following Guild & Faction changes.

Guild Faction Assignment:

  • guilds will be required to have a faction assigned in order for members of the guild to be part of a faction
  • Officers & Guildmasters can assign a faction to a guild, but only the Guildmaster can un-assign the faction once it's been assigned
  • upon logging in, if you are in a guild and in a faction and your guild does not have one registered or it is registered to a different faction then you will begin the Faction Resignation process and be kicked from your faction after 7 days unless you leave the guild or your faction is assigned to the guild
  • if you are in a guild and trying to join a faction, your guild must be assigned to a faction and you must join the assigned faction
  • it's optional for guild members to be in the faction or not, but players wishing to be in a faction must be in the same faction as the guild
  • if you are trying to create a guild while in a faction, you will be warned that the guild will become registered to your current faction when you form the guild

We have implemented a new dynamic loot system.

  • Currently it is only active for the "Ice Dragon King", as a test.
  • Loot will scale based on mob difficulty and how many players have dealt damage, plus some other factors.
  • There is a limit cap on maximum drop amounts and limitation for multi-box.

We will look to implement this into other mobs over time and after evaluating this first outcome.

From the 1st April 2023, we will no longer support Steam accounts. Those of you currently using them will get a message to that effect when logging into the game, directing you to this form:

The good news is we have a process now to transfer your Steam accounts to regular standalone accounts! April 1st is not the deadline for this, and we will continue to accept Steam transfer requests after that time - however note that you will not be able to log in using your Steam account from April 1st.

Please note that while you may have seen the form before, some of the fields have changed. Please review the form again and ensure we have details of both your existing Steam account, AND your new, clean, empty account with NO CHARACTERS to transfer it to.

Please also note we will ONLY be conducting these transfers for Steam accounts. It's a colossal amount of work, and not viable at this time to handle any other transfer requests.

As per the form, once you have submitted a transfer request, it may take a day or two to finalise as it needs to be done during the nightly maintenance window and relies on the availability of staff to do this. Please be patient with us during this time.

This will be the final step we need to take before we introduce our new features. Sound and music will be first off the rank early in April! We hope you're all looking forward to that as much as we are.

We've fixed an issue causing unexpected or no behavior with the use of Speech/Custom Action commands inside macros. If you have this happen, please re-create the part of the macro that is giving you trouble and it should work now

  • Fixed an issue with multiple Passive Animal Taming chances occurring at once when killing beings with multiple pets, this was only intended to happen once per kill, not once per pet
  • Fixed an issue with Passive Animal Taming gains from killing beings not being attempted at all if one of your pets is out of points
