The following changes are now live on the Test Center:

  • Lumberjacking has been refreshed to be more in alignment with UO

  • Successful harvests will produce up to 20 logs per swing

  • Trees now have a maximum amount of wood that can be harvested

  • Harvest bonuses removed and Prospector's Tool disabled for now, needs redesigned

  • Kindling/apples removed from normal lumberjacking routine

  • Can now use blade to cut trees to gather kindling

  • Can chop trees in town, but resources are halved

-Stealing is now disabled on the Colosseum island

-Murderer restrictions will not be incurred when a red dies on the island

We believe we have finally squashed the outlying performance bug that was forcing us to restart every 6 hours. As such, we will be returning to our usual restart at 5am US EST/9am UTC.

As a result, this next restart will take slightly longer than usual. We apologise for this, however rest assured that after this, we expect smooth sailing.

If you have any characters stuck in Limbo/Inbetween from the transition and have trouble progressing through the black portal, please send a help request and make sure your contact info (use /contactinfo command) is up to date so we can contact you if no one is available to help immediately.

We are back online. Please note, direct connections will no longer work. Connect by selecting our server on the community server screen. Thanks for your patience, as always.

  • Players can no longer create Camps while inside Guard Protected towns.

We will remain offline during our next maintenance window (9am UTC Friday 3rd September) while we complete migration to one of our host's alternative data centers. During this time, all of our services will be unavailable.

This is due to our current datacentre experiencing some ongoing issues which are intermittently affecting our services. Rather than wait for them to be resolved by our host, we will instead work around the issues by moving to a different physical location/datacentre within their network.

Rather than provide an estimate, we'll update you on the progress of the change via Discord during the migration window. Thanks, as always, for your patience.

As stated in our previous announcement https://legendsofultima.online/news/the-conclusion-of-celador Celador will be shutting down within the next 24 hours, and access to any remaining characters, items, and houses left in Celador will be lost.

We are aware some people have had issues going through the transition portal in Inbetween, so if you have any characters already in the Inbetween region, you will not lose access to them. We will work with those remaining on a case-by-case basis to get all stuck characters' transitions completed.

There is no specific time for the shutdown to occur yet, as it is subject to staff availability, but we will post again once we know more. Thanks!

  • Active gain bonuses have been greatly increased.
  • Spells casted by monsters will no longer be subject to no challenge skill check for resisting spells. This means that any harmful spell will present a gain opportunity for the player's resisting spells skill.
  • Evaluating Intelligence is no longer subject to no challenge skill check when successfully casting a spell. This means that any harmful spell casted by a player will result in a skill gain opportunity for Evaluating Intelligence. This is comparable to how Anatomy gains with combat skills.
  • The curve for daily caps has been made less severe at the upper end.
  • Threat generation has been increased for healing and ranged damage.
  • Certain monsters will more aggressively consider targeting players further away from them.

Warriors, rejoice! The Colosseum has moved to its new and permanent location, an island just outside of Buccaneer's Den. While it will be used for PVP server events, it is also intended to be a general use area for consensual, non-faction PVP. Thus, the following rules will take effect in the area after the next restart:

  1. Combat and murder actions will not flag as criminal on the island. You will not receive murder counts on the island.
  2. If a red is killed on the island, their next immediate resurrection will be free. Short term murder counts will not reset, and the free res does not apply if you were killed anywhere but on the island.
  3. You cannot mark runes at or recall to the island. Teleporters are up at Britain Bank and Buccaneer's Den moongate.

Full loot is in effect on the island, so tread lightly. For those brave enough, glorious combat awaits!

We'll be back online shortly. We've had to rollback to a save state of 10:40pm UTC/6:40pm US EST to avoid potential data integrity concerns that were due to the connectivity issues being experienced. We are experiencing ongoing issues at our host as a result of a maintenance/upgrade window. We were advised there would be no impact to customers during this time, however clearly that is not the case.

There is no ETA at this time and you may experience odd behaviour or inaccessibility with the game or any of the related services.

Unidentified musical instruments will now properly identify

  • Added a black smoke fizzle animation for spells.
  • Updated messaging for Starving skill/stat gains.
  • Added Recall Sound/Animations to UseCharge on Runebook.
  • Added animations to Tracking skill use for in tracking window and switching creature types.
  • Fixed an issue with Campfire overlap by increasing distance between active campfires.
  • Fixed an issue with Kindling no longer working after trying to place a campfire inside town.
  • Updated messaging on Kindling use when Mounted, In Town, and near another Campfire.

The issue with the official map has been resolved, and it is now available again.

We are back online in the alternative datacenter. Please note that we had to rollback to approx. 25 minutes before our normal shutdown time to preserve data integrity. This was due to the small blerp which happened around that time earlier today.

  • The Polymorph spell has had its bugs fixed and the spell is now reenabled

  • The Incognito spell now properly changes the player's name to a fake one for its duration
