Hear ye, hear ye!

There are still market stalls available that interested players can rent for a small amount of gold to sell goods in the city of New Haven in Ocllo. The audience will mainly consist of young players who need equipment and items for their adventures.

Merchants can also buy resources such as leather, metal, wood, and more from young players so they can earn some gold.

Anyone interested should send an in-game message via "/feedback" to the team. The market stalls will be allocated tomorrow—don’t miss your chance :-)

The New Haven Market: A Merchant’s Haven for All

Citizens of Britannia, travelers of Ocllo, and aspiring merchants, a new chapter in the commerce of New Haven is unfolding.

As part of the island’s renewed focus on guiding and empowering new adventurers, a permanent player-driven marketplace is being established in the heart of the village. More than just a place to buy and sell, the New Haven Market is a shared space—an open-air bazaar where the realm’s experienced heroes can support the next generation through trade, decoration, and generosity.

A Market Built by Players, For Players

Located in the town square, the market is made up of individual rental stalls, each available to players who wish to offer their goods to others. For a small weekly fee, a stall can be rented and customized—allowing players to create immersive displays that reflect their wares.

These aren’t just static vendors. Each stall can be decorated with care, showcasing the style and personality of its merchant. Whether you're a mage selling spellbooks, a blacksmith offering fine blades, or a tinker displaying trinkets, your stall becomes your story.

Made to Serve New Adventurers

The market is intended to serve one goal: to support those just beginning their journey. Items for sale should be useful, accessible, and affordable—ideal for new players who have earned their first few coins and want to gear up, personalize their look, or enhance their play.

One Stall Per Player, One Purpose

To ensure diversity and balance, each player may rent only one stall. This encourages thoughtful curation and keeps the market fresh and fair. Stallholders are expected to focus their offerings on items appropriate for newer adventurers—not rare artifacts or high-end goods.

Interested in Selling? Apply for a Stall

Players who are interested in becoming a merchant in New Haven must submit an application. This helps us ensure the spirit of the market remains focused and fair. Applications should briefly describe what you plan to offer, and how your stall supports new players. Submit your application as feedback please (type "/feedback" ingame and start the message with "Ocllo Market Application:"),

If selected, you’ll be granted a rental spot, the ability to place a vendor, and the freedom to decorate your space in a way that brings your vision to life.

The Soul of the Market

The New Haven Market is more than a feature—it’s a gathering place. A place where stories are shared, goods are traded, and characters come to life. It’s a small town within a village, built by the players, for the players.

Whether you dream of becoming a legendary merchant or simply want to lend a hand to the next generation of adventurers, the market welcomes you.

Will you claim your stall and help shape the spirit of New Haven?

🌊 Ocllo Launches End of October!

Adventurers, prepare yourselves — Ocllo Island opens its shores at the end of October! ⚔️✨

Begin your journey in New Haven, a safe haven built to guide you through your first steps in Britannia. Learn, grow, and uncover the island’s hidden secrets. Veterans are invited to explore Ocllo’s mysteries, lend a hand to new adventurers, or claim your own merchant stall in the New Haven Market.

🔥 Adventure, trade, and discovery await — this is just the beginning of a new era for Britannia.

⚓ Get ready. The journey begins soon.

Welcome to New Haven: Your First Steps in Britannia

Nestled on the eastern shores of Ocllo, the quiet stone village of New Haven welcomes adventurers of all kinds — wide-eyed novices, weary travelers, and aspiring heroes alike. Here, far from the turmoil of the mainland, the journey begins not with fanfare, but with purpose.

Whether you’re taking up your first sword, stirring your first spellbook, or simply curious to discover the mysteries of Britannia, New Haven offers the perfect refuge to grow, learn, and prove yourself.

A Land of Safety and Secrets

Unlike the war-torn cities of the realm, Ocllo Island is protected by ancient enchantments. For those new to the world, these protections are a blessing — shielding fledgling adventurers from the dangers of rogue spells, thieves' hands, and bloodthirsty blades.

Within these safe lands, you’re free to hone your craft. Take up a pickaxe and mine the island’s veins of ore, or swing your blade against the bones of the undead in long-forgotten corners of the land. Hunt, fish, gather, or conjure — Ocllo supports all paths.

But don’t mistake peace for dullness. The island harbors mysteries for those who seek them. Hidden throughout the forests, coves, and ruined trails are secret encounters, waiting to be discovered by the curious and the bold. These may appear without warning — a strange statue in the woods, a forgotten altar by the cliffs, or an unnatural chill in the air. Seek them out, and you may find lore, loot… or something far more unexpected.

The Young and the Brave

If you are marked as Young, the world gives you certain mercies. Creatures beyond the island cannot reach you. Vile murderers cannot stain your journey. And you are given a clear path forward — one of discipline, courage, and discovery.

But this blessing does not last forever.

Your skills will grow. Your confidence will rise. And with time, the protections of Ocllo will begin to fade. This is not a curse, but a calling — to step beyond the island, and into Britannia proper, where fame and peril await in equal measure.

A Village Full of Guides

New Haven is more than just stone and sea. It is a village alive with knowledge. Friendly instructors, merchants, and mystics are eager to aid those who ask. Whether you walk the path of the warrior, tamer, thief, or mage, there are those in New Haven ready to help you sharpen your talents and chart your destiny.

Wander the market. Visit the docks. Speak to those who seem out of place — you may find they were placed there for you.

The Shadows Beyond the Light

Though the heart of the island is serene, not all corners of Ocllo are safe. Strange beasts have begun to stir beyond the edge of the village — among them, the forsaken ruins of Vaelthar, a seaside village swallowed by undeath and stone.

It is said that deep within those ruined streets, Stone Wyrms slither beneath the rubble, guarding relics of the past. Those brave enough to explore Vaelthar’s haunted alleyways may uncover powerful treasures — including a rare dye said to mimic the very skin of the Wyrms themselves.

Begin Your Legacy

New Haven is not the end of the journey. It is the spark. The forge. The breath before the storm. From here, your path is yours to shape — whether you seek gold, glory, power, or purpose.

So gather your courage, ready your tools, and step forward. The world of Britannia is vast, and your story has only just begun.

Help Shape the New Haven Experience

As part of our ongoing improvements to the new player experience in Shards of Britannia, we're inviting players to test the latest updates to New Haven and Ocllo Island.

This is more than just a new location—it’s where every journey now begins. From updated protections and hidden encounters to a player-driven marketplace and curated loot, Ocllo has been redesigned to offer a smooth and exciting introduction for all new adventurers.

If you’re joining the testing phase, here’s what you should know:

  • All newly created characters now start on Ocllo Island by default, with the town of New Haven as their initial home.
  • A teleporter has been placed at the Moonglow Bank, allowing existing characters to travel directly to Ocllo for testing. Use it to explore the island, visit New Haven, and experience the new systems firsthand.

What We’re Looking For

Your feedback is critical. As you explore, we ask that you observe and reflect on the following:

  • Does the island feel welcoming and well-paced for new players?
  • Are the early-game rewards and skill progression clear and enjoyable?
  • Do you encounter and understand hidden content naturally?
  • Is the new player market helpful, immersive, and accessible?

To make the most of your testing—and to help us cover all important systems—we’ve prepared a detailed Testing Checklist. The checklist is available ingame. When you login, click on "Ocllo New Player Experience" to access it.

The checklist contains:

  • A breakdown of the new and changed features on Ocllo Island
  • All areas where testing is needed (character creation, combat, housing, dungeons, vendors, and more)
  • Specific mechanics that apply only to young players
  • What to look for and how to trigger certain systems (e.g. protection rules, skill caps, criminal actions)

We ask that you test according to this checklist as much as you’re willing and able. Not only will it ensure we don’t miss anything, but it will also guide you through all the features available on the island—some of which may not be obvious at first glance.

Whether you're a longtime player or a returning veteran, your insight will help us ensure that New Haven becomes a launchpad worthy of the Britannian legacy.

Thank you for helping us build a better beginning.
