We'll remain offline for now while we work to solve this latest batch of issues. No ETA at this time.

  • Campers must be dismounted throughout the entire build process.
  • Camping now has additional chances to gain throughout the entire build process, and Adding Kindling/Logs give a chance too.
  • Camping fail rates now have a 50% minimum that scales up with greater skill.
  • Campers with 80 skill or greater now have a chance to recover materials when Destroying their camps.

An update has been made to the rules regarding multiboxing and spycams. Please re-read the rules at https://legendsofultima.online/about/rules. As a reminder, you are responsible for keeping yourself informed of the rules at all times.

As stated in our previous announcement https://legendsofultima.online/news/the-conclusion-of-celador Celador will be shutting down within the next 24 hours, and access to any remaining characters, items, and houses left in Celador will be lost.

We are aware some people have had issues going through the transition portal in Inbetween, so if you have any characters already in the Inbetween region, you will not lose access to them. We will work with those remaining on a case-by-case basis to get all stuck characters' transitions completed.

There is no specific time for the shutdown to occur yet, as it is subject to staff availability, but we will post again once we know more. Thanks!

  • Active gain bonuses have been greatly increased.
  • Spells casted by monsters will no longer be subject to no challenge skill check for resisting spells. This means that any harmful spell will present a gain opportunity for the player's resisting spells skill.
  • Evaluating Intelligence is no longer subject to no challenge skill check when successfully casting a spell. This means that any harmful spell casted by a player will result in a skill gain opportunity for Evaluating Intelligence. This is comparable to how Anatomy gains with combat skills.
  • The curve for daily caps has been made less severe at the upper end.
  • Threat generation has been increased for healing and ranged damage.
  • Certain monsters will more aggressively consider targeting players further away from them.

We've identified an issue with Looting Rights not being handled properly for bards killing monsters with provocation and have disabled criminal checks on monster corpses for the time being while we work the remaining issues out.

As you're all probably aware, the server is offline right now. We've identified a critical issue that must be resolved prior to us bringing it back online. At this time we cannot offer an ETA, however know that we're all working on it to get things going again ASAP.

Keep an eye out for further announcements here in #news. Sorry for the delay in the release of this notification.

We'll be back online shortly. We've had to rollback to a save state of 10:40pm UTC/6:40pm US EST to avoid potential data integrity concerns that were due to the connectivity issues being experienced. We apologise for this, however we don't want anyone losing items etc., and this is the only way to be sure.

"We have found a place of great evil in the region North of Minoc. Trackers have informed us that a Northern Cave is filled with a monstrous and deadly Arachnid. We fear that this beast is linked to the creatures on the Peninsula. If they launch an attack on Minoc, we will be unprepared to defend against them. We beg you, find their nest and extinguish them. We will forever be in your debt warriors.”

~Julie the Artisan of Minoc

Power hour will no longer expire after 60 real-time minutes from activation, instead will expire after 60 minutes of in-game playtime, with the same 22-hour cooldown from the time you started it last

This means if you log out before using all of your Power Hour then you can log back in and use what's remaining before the 22 hours is up, after which Power Hour will be reset and you will be able to activate it again

This evening we will be coming down for daily maintenance 15 minutes ahead of schedule. We will return to service at 5am US EST/9am UTC.

After this maintenance period, the server will restart once every 6 hours. We apologise for this, however it is a necessary step in order to ensure performance based on a very large increase in player count (thank you!) and a bug that we hope to resolve in the coming week. However, the restarts will now take 5 minutes instead of the 15+ that was the case previously.

You can check how long is left until the next restart by typing /nextrestart or /nextreboot in game. In this way, you can still plan your power hours etc. We will return to daily restarts as soon as we can.

Thank you, as always, for your patience.

The rules page has been moved from the old wiki to the LOU website at https://legendsofultima.online/about/rules

Some changes were made so please make sure you read the page and familiarize yourself with the rules, as they go into effect immediately.

Thanks for your understanding and for playing fair.

We are back online. Have fun, go play!

We're going to need to do an additional restart in about 20 minutes so that we can try to help some players who are unable to login. No downtime expected. Thank you for your patience as we try to get everyone in game again!

We believe we have finally squashed the outlying performance bug that was forcing us to restart every 6 hours. As such, we will be returning to our usual restart at 5am US EST/9am UTC.

As a result, this next restart will take slightly longer than usual. We apologise for this, however rest assured that after this, we expect smooth sailing.

Thanks for your patience during this bumpy few weeks!

We are aware of the issue with the official map and are working to resolve it. Thanks for your patience.

Today on Memorial Day, we honor and remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for us. We are eternally grateful and forever indebted!

Non-faction players can no longer create collision with, heal, or give beneficial spells to faction players
