November Changelog

New Changes (November 7th)

🦃 Thanksgiving

  • Thanksgiving 2026 has begun – Autumna Leafwhisper and the Long Table are set out at the Britain Bank plaza, south-east of Yew's main bank and north of Moonglow Bank. Earn Cranberries until December 5th and spend them until December 19th. Start at the wiki's Thanksgiving Activities page, with the full What's New for Thanksgiving 2026 guide and the Thanksgiving 2026 Item Catalogue.
  • The Feast Raid – a Feast Order boss storms a Thanksgiving hub on a set schedule, free for everyone nearby.
  • Take a Plate – once the shard has laid the Long Table, take a plate from any Long Table for the Long Table Supper buff.
  • Harvest Comforts – harvest hats with small skill bonuses, house comforts like the Harvest Scarecrow and Hay Bale Seat, keepsakes that welcome your guests, and four cornucopias whose boons you share with everyone nearby.

🎃 Halloween

  • Halloween 2026 has ended – the Hedge Maze is back to normal and the Halloween Dungeon is closed. The Candy Vendor and the Witch in town keep trading until December 1st, and Halloween candy carries over to future holiday events.

Earlier Changes

📜 Quests

  • Bounties – Kill bounties now count the creatures that actually live in their area: Dark Whispers and In the Shadows (Destard), Reckless Flames (Shame), Cat and Mouse (Ice), Striking Beneath the Scales and A Giant Problem (Despise), The Undying and Law and Order. Reckless Flames and Cat and Mouse can now be completed.

✨ Magic

  • Necromancy – Necromancers can now use "Cast Recall" on a ship key.

🐾 Pets & Taming

  • Vanity Pets – Releasing a vanity pet that has lost its owner now removes it properly.
  • Stabled pets – A pet in the stable can no longer be transferred, released or renamed through a leftover image of it on your screen. Stable windows only answer the player who opened them, and claiming a pet is checked again when you pay.
  • Pet trades – A pet in a trade is now checked before anything changes hands, so gold or items can no longer be swapped while the pet stays with its owner.
  • Pet brokers – A pet that has already sold can no longer be removed from the broker, only your own pet standing next to you can be listed, the relisting cooldown now applies, and "Release" for unpaid upkeep now releases the pet as the dialog says.
  • Saddles – Removing a saddle can no longer create a duplicate deed or delete items you just put in the saddlebags.

🎵 Bard Skills

  • Slayer Instruments – The automatic instrument pick now chooses the strongest bonus, so an Exceptional Supremely Harmonious runic instrument beats a plain matching slayer.
  • Slayer instruments – Peacemaking, Provocation and Discordance now pick the slayer instrument in your backpack or hands that matches the creature you target, so you no longer need to swap flutes between hunting grounds.
  • Use Last Bard Ability – A weapon in your hand is no longer mistaken for your instrument.

🎃 Halloween

  • Last week of Halloween – The login notice now says that Halloween events and the Ledger close at the Nov 7 09:00 UTC restart, that the Candy Vendor in town keeps trading until December 1st, and that candy you keep carries over to the summer holiday events.
  • Pet costumes – Pet costumes still last all year, but pets only sniff out Halloween candy while Halloween is running.
  • Halloween Dungeon – Once Halloween ends, the Hedge Maze portal to the Halloween Dungeon closes, and anyone who logs in inside the Halloween Dungeon is brought back out to Yew.
  • Halloween bosses – The Headless Horseman, the Vengeful Horseman and the other event bosses can no longer be killed by calling the guards. A boss killed by the guards gives no title, loot, candy, Ledger credit or leaderboard place. Guards still deal with ordinary monsters and with a boss's minions in town.
  • Restless Dead – The dungeon's own monsters no longer attack the Restless Dead bosses before you get there.
  • Cursed Crypt – A guardian still standing when the crypt reseals now vanishes with it, so the next opening no longer adds a second guardian.
  • Ghost Ship and Headless Horseman – Their "will return" lines now name the next sailing or ride, even when it's more than a day away.
  • Night Pets Raffle – The four dye winners got an upgrade: a 5-charge pet dye tub in the colour they won, bound to their account and delivered to their bank. They keep their original dye too.

🩹 Interface

  • Reflections – Before you load a reflection, the confirmation now lists exactly which skills, stats and flags will change, and warns first if your current build isn't saved in any reflection and would be lost. A reflection in use whose build has changed since it was saved is now marked in red.

🎟️ Raffles

  • Check My Tickets – Raffles that have been drawn now show as Ended, and a raffle past its draw time shows Awaiting Draw until its winners are picked.
  • Raffle prizes – Fixed a problem that could reset a raffle's house prize after a server restart and repeat its "has started" message. A house raffle now waits quietly until its house is ready instead of announcing results too early.
  • Prize names – The raffle vendor's prize list now shows the real item names, so pet dyes show their colour instead of "Dye Tub".
  • Winner messages – Winner messages now explain that your prize waits in your account vault if your bank is full.

⚔️ Combat & Creatures

  • Paragons – Paragon creatures now deal more melee damage and hit more often, and their bonus health is based on the creature's own health.
  • Blood Siphon – If you cast it without a cursed crook in your right hand, you're now told that the drain over time needs one.

🧰 Items, Crafting & Vendors

  • Accessory Wear – Equipped cloaks, masks, rings, necklaces, aprons, kilts and footwear now wear down in combat, but take hits much less often than armor, and rings and necklaces least of all. Blessed items and talismans that use charges never wear.
  • Accessory Repair – Tailors can repair cloaks, masks, aprons, kilts and footwear, including event and holiday pieces. Blacksmiths repair rings and necklaces.
  • House resource chests – Trying to add a friend past the limit now shows the limit message instead of an error.
  • Bulk order deeds – A damaged deed now gives a message instead of an error.

7th Nov 2026 announcement

Thanksgiving comes to Britannia at the Saturday, November 7th 09:00 UTC restart, the same morning Halloween takes its leave, and everything opens at once, with the Long Tables set out within minutes of the restart. You can earn until December 5th, and the Cranberry Market and your rewards stay open until December 19th. Here's everything coming, and when.

📅 The Thanksgiving Timeline

  • Saturday, November 7th, 09:00 UTC. Thanksgiving begins and Halloween takes its leave. The Long Tables are set out in Britain, Yew and Moonglow, Autumna Leafwhisper arrives, every account receives its Book of Thanks, and Feast Saturday Raffle tickets go on sale at every Raffle Vendor.
  • Every day. Daily limits and Table Requests reset at the 09:00 UTC restart. Raiders strike the Supply Barge off Ocllo at 18:45, 20:45, 22:45 and 02:45 UTC, and Harvest Crates drift off the coast of Ocllo every hour.
  • Every Saturday, from November 14th. After the 09:00 UTC restart, the week's Most Thankful Neighbours are named across the land.
  • Every Sunday, 18:00 UTC. The week's heaviest Harvest Waters catch is named.
  • Saturday, November 21st: Feast Saturday. The Feast Saturday Raffle is drawn at 20:00 UTC, and if the shard has filled the Long Table far enough, candles burn along every table from 20:00 to 23:00 UTC.
  • Saturday, December 5th, 09:00 UTC. Earning ends as Christmas arrives.
  • Saturday, December 19th, 09:00 UTC. The Cranberry Market, the Pantry and any rewards you're owed close. Cranberries never expire, so any you keep can be spent at future holiday events.

🍂 Gather at the Long Table

  • The Long Table. One shared table for the whole shard, with a place at it in Britain, Yew and Moonglow. Bring food and fill it together: as the table fills, everyone who has brought their share earns a title, and if you bring plenty yourself, a Long Table Centrepiece is yours to keep.
  • Autumna Leafwhisper. Your Thanksgiving host. She sends you on Autumna's Trail, hands out Thank-You Cards, gives every account a free Cornucopia Basket, and takes Feast Orders from anyone brave enough to fight for the table.
  • The Hearth Pot. Autumna gives you one on her Trail. Turn a turkey and a little produce into Feast Plates. Slow cooking, but worth it.
  • Table Requests. Every day the table asks for something crafted, something from the kitchen and something from the garden, and the first few of each requested item count double.
  • Say Grace and the Supper Serenade. Say grace at the table, and each hour the newest grace is heard across the land, or play a song for the diners.
  • Seat a Pet. Your pets are welcome at the table too, costumes and all.
  • Feast Saturday, November 21st. The Feast Saturday Raffle (tickets from any Raffle Vendor) is drawn at 20:00 UTC, and if the shard has filled the table far enough, candles burn along every Long Table into the night.

🙏 Giving Thanks

  • The Book of Thanks. Every account gets one. It lists every Thanksgiving activity, ticks off the ones you've tried, and rewards you for trying many different things with Cranberries and titles, all the way up to Heart of the Feast and a Guest of Honour Place Setting.
  • Thank-You Cards. Thank the shopkeepers of Britannia for a few Cranberries, or thank another player and leave them glowing.
  • Most Thankful Neighbour. Each week the most thanked players are named across the land and earn a title.
  • Bottled Thanks. Cork a note of thanks and set it adrift, or fish up one somebody else sent.
  • Welcome Back. If you've been away for a while, the Long Table saved you a few dishes.

⚔️ Hunting and Monsters

  • The Turkey Trot. Wild turkeys are fair game, dropping Plump Turkeys for the table and Turkey Ammo for the cannon, and every so often one calls out something far rarer: the Golden Gobbler.
  • Harvest Raiders. Wolves, harpies, rats and worse are raiding the fields outside town. Watch for the Thornback Alpha.
  • Raided Harvest Camps. Raiders have made camp in the countryside. Beat the Strawman (it's not just a scarecrow), catch the Rustler before he bolts with a stolen turkey, or skip the fight and free the farmhand, open the turkey pens or dig through the root cellar (bring a shovel).
  • Harvest Bundles. Smash the hay bales and corn shocks in the fields for produce, turkeys and Cranberries. Not everything that leaps out is friendly.
  • Harvest Paragons. Some monsters across Britannia come dressed in autumn colours, tougher and more rewarding.
  • Feast Orders. Pay Autumna gold to summon a feast-day foe: light the lanterns around Old Hollow, dodge the Granary Ettin's charge, carry grave salt to break Old Marrow's seals, or stuff Mr Gobbles with Custard Pies until his guard drops. Each one has its own titles to earn, and the Granary Ettin might even part with a Golden Plume.

⚓ On the Water

  • The Supply Barge. Raiders strike a harvest barge off Ocllo at 18:45, 20:45, 22:45 and 02:45 UTC. Sail out and take it back.
  • Harvest Crates. Every hour, crates of produce drift off the coast of Ocllo for sailors to haul in.
  • Harvest Waters. Fish up Maple Trout, Russet Carp, Cranberry Perch and the Harvest Eel, with rare catches for skilled fishers. The heaviest catch of the week is named every Sunday at 18:00 UTC.

⛏️ Gathering, Crafting and Taming

  • Harvest Bounty. Mining, chopping and skinning can turn up Wild Gourds, Maple Sap and Cranberry Sprigs for the table.
  • Pilgrim's Larders. Locked pantry chests are hidden outside four towns every day. Track them down, pick the lock and mind the rats. Autumna may know where to look.
  • Harvest Fish Pie. Cooks can turn the season's fish into a pie worth eating.
  • Tame a Turkey. Taming a wild turkey earns its own place in the Book, and the Cranberry Market sells turkey costumes for your pets (a costumed pet might sniff out the odd Cranberry) and pet treats for the hunt.

🥧 Games

  • The Pie Fight. Grab a stack of Custard Pies and head to the Green Acres arena for a free-for-all. Win outright against at least two players from other households to become Pie Champion.
  • Pie Duels. Challenge a friend to a duel in any town: first to three hits wins, and three duel wins also earn Pie Champion. Pies do no damage and never get you flagged.
  • The Turkey Cannon. Buy it at the Cranberry Market and load it with Turkey Ammo from wild turkeys or the Market. It fires turkeys at monsters. That's it. That's the cannon.

🛒 The Cranberry Market

  • Cranberries. Hunting, fighting, thanking and many other activities pay Cranberries, and the Book of Thanks pays extra for trying different things. Spend them at the Market Steward beside each Long Table: the Turkey Cannon and its ammo, Custard Pies, harvest cloaks and hats, the Gobbler Mask, the Harvest Pitchfork, a Harvest Gem Book and Runebook, a Harvest Scarecrow, hay bales, autumn hedges and vines, pet cages, pet costumes and treats, and the Packed Holiday Feast Table. Seasonal bonuses only work against monsters, never in PvP.
  • The Pantry. The Pantry Farmhand sells produce and Plump Turkeys for gold, for anyone who'd rather buy than hunt.
  • Fair limits. Cranberries and the best rewards have daily limits shared by your household (accounts that play from the same computer or the same internet connection), resetting at the 09:00 UTC restart, so a quick evening and a long session both have plenty to earn.

Earning ends at the December 5th 09:00 UTC restart, when Christmas arrives. The Cranberry Market, the Pantry and any rewards you're owed stay open until December 19th 09:00 UTC, and like every holiday currency, Cranberries never expire, so any you keep can be spent at future holiday events.

Happy Thanksgiving, Britannia! 🦃

2nd Nov 2026 announcement

🏚️ The Haunted House Raffle has been drawn!

Sorry there was a delay with the Haunted House Raffle drawing: it drew on November 1st at 17:31 UTC instead of on Halloween night. The winner was picked from all 608 tickets held by 65 players, exactly as they stood when ticket sales closed, and the house deed is waiting in their Vault. We've improved the raffle system so future raffles draw on time.

📋 Halloween raffle results

We double-checked every raffle against our records: each drawing included every ticket that was bought, and every winner's prizes were sent out.

  • Haunted House Raffle: 608 tickets from 65 players, 1 winner, drawn November 1st at 17:31 UTC.
  • Night Pets Raffle: 465 tickets from 39 players, 5 winners, drawn October 31st at 20:00 UTC.
  • Midnight Stable Raffle: 219 tickets from 36 players, 3 winners, drawn October 31st at 20:00 UTC.
  • Harvest Costumes Raffle: 178 tickets from 23 players, 4 winners, drawn October 31st at 20:00 UTC. The winners were announced in game when each raffle drew, and their prizes went to their bank (or their Vault if the bank was full).

    🐾 Night Pets Raffle prizes

Some of you saw "Dye Tub" in the raffle vendor's prize list. That was a naming mistake in the list: the raffle's prizes were always the pet dyes and costume from its description, and every winner received exactly those. Sorry for the confusion! To make it right, the four pet dye winners now get a bonus: a 5-charge pet dye tub in the colour they won, arriving in their bank with the next daily restart (November 2nd, 09:00 UTC), and they keep their original dye too. The prize list now shows the real item names.

    Thank you

Halloween had a few bumps along the way, from wording mistakes to bugs we should have caught sooner. Thank you for your patience and for reporting them. We're taking what we learned this season and will keep improving how our events, raffles and announcements work. Happy Halloween, and see you at the last few events before it ends on November 7th!

⚔️ Combat & Creatures

  • Dragon Fire & Pumpkin Seed Volley – These attacks hit their targets again.
  • Fire Breath – Creatures now wait the full 30 seconds between breaths.
  • Magic auto target – Auto target now only fires at creatures, never at loose items.
  • Item auto target – Items no longer act on a dead target and ask you for a new one instead.
  • Pets – Pets in water or on a boat deck no longer get stuck trying to follow you.

🩹 Interface

  • Hunger – A Well Fed buff icon and messages now show when you are well fed and learning skills faster, and the character window shows it too.

  • Item previews – Previewed items now keep their full tooltip.
  • Character deletion – The wait after deleting a character now grows with how many characters you have deleted recently.

🧰 Items, Crafting & Vendors

  • Thieves Guild reward bags – Handing in an empty reward bag with a full backpack no longer loses your Thieves Coin. The guildmaster asks you to make room first.
  • Black goods dealers – The dealers now tell guild members roughly how many goods their household can still hand in there today.
  • Leaving the Thieves Guild – The Thieves Guildmaster now explains how to leave the guild (no murder count needed).
  • Black goods – The Thieves Guild now has its own, higher daily limit for black goods hand-ins.

🌱 Young Players

  • Young quests – The Seer's Collection and the Stable Boy's Lost Apron can now be completed once per account.

Earlier Changes

🎃 Halloween

  • 🍬 New: Gilded Candy – Buy Gilded Candy with gold from the Pet Tonic Peddler (moving to its own Gilded Candy Merchant next to the Candy Vendor on October 29th): 250 candy per sack for 50,000 gold, up to 2 sacks per account for the whole Halloween season. Spend it at the Candy Vendor and the Volatile Barrel vendor alongside your regular candy, and it's used first. It's bound to your account, can't be used for raffles, the Haunted Cauldron or the Ledger, and items bought with it can't be sold back to vendors.
  • Raffles – Raffle tickets now take candy and Raffle Tokens from your bank as well as your backpack, like the town vendors.
  • Ghost Tour – Asking Agatha how many pages you've found now lists each missing page, its stop, and how many days until she's there again.
  • Hallowed weapons – Hallowed weapon names now show in seasonal orange, their Halloween properties now appear above the Default Action line, and their tooltips no longer repeat the Slayer line. Existing weapons are updated automatically.
  • Headless Horseman – The Headless Horseman and the Vengeful Horseman now really use their charge, and the Harvest Lord now throws its pumpkins.
  • Harvest Horde – Zombies and the boss no longer appear in the sea at the Vesper Graveyard, and the braziers now stand on dry land.
  • Haunted ore – Haunted ore you find while mining now goes into your Harvesting Bag like the rest of your ore, and a message tells you how much you found and where it went.
  • Pumpkin Growing – You can now plant pumpkins until October 31st, and judging stays open until the event ends on November 7th.
  • Grown pumpkins – Grown pumpkins now shrink to a bag-friendly size in bags, chests and the bank, and return to their full grown size when set down in the world or in your house. If a pumpkin you picked up still looks oversized in your bag, logging out and back in fixes it.
  • Cursed Crypt – The crypt gate now stands in the mausoleum's entrance.
  • Cursed treasure chests – A chest you have already unlocked, or whose trap you have already sprung, no longer locks and arms itself again after a server restart.
  • The Restless Dead – The announcement now names places you know, such as the Lich King's throne room in Covetous.
  • Toxic Green Mushrooms – Decorative Toxic Green mushrooms keep their name and pot size, and existing ones are fixed automatically.
  • Hallowed weapons – The Headless Hunter's Blade, Pumpkin Carver and Gravekeeper's Shovel now show their colours; existing ones are recoloured automatically.
  • Hallow's Eve Ledger – everyone who earns the Headless Horseman, Pumpkin King or Restless Dead title now also gets that boss checked off on their Ledger. If you already have a title but not the entry, it's added the next time you log in.
  • Event boss loot – anyone who helped fight the Cauldron Crone or the Pumpkin King can loot the body right away, not just the players who did the most damage. Players who didn't fight still have to wait.
  • Haunted Cauldron – once your household has given all the candy it can for the day, the cauldron now tells you every time and says when the daily reset is.
  • Pumpkin Growing – your pumpkin now shows how many hours are left until it's ripe.
  • Pumpkin Growing – your pumpkin now grows into its own size: its weight climbs with each day of care and never shrinks, and what it weighs on its last day is what you cut from the vine.
  • Master Carver – you can now give up an unfinished commission at the Master Carver (it still counts toward that day's commissions), the stone weapon rack commission asks for 1 rack instead of 3, and stone racks and locked boxes are only offered to crafters with the skill to make them Exceptional (100 Carpentry / 95 Tinkering).
  • Halloween items – masks, hats, kilts, cloaks, robes, Pumpkin Heads, decorations, paintings, vanity pets and Halloween mounts now show their Halloween year and a little flavour text, including ones you already own. A few names were tidied up too, such as the Halloween Priest Mask and the Skeletal Steed statues.
  • Halloween decorations – packed decorations keep their year when you place them and pack them up again.
  • Candy Vendor – Halloween robes, cloaks and runebooks no longer show their year twice.
  • Ghost Ship – she now rises just north of the Ocllo moongate, shows on your minimap when you're nearby, stays for an hour, and rises again if a restart sinks her early.
  • Riddle Scrolls – riddle letters, scrolls and the Ledger now explain where scrolls come from and how letters help.
  • Halloween Metal Mask – now shows its Halloween year and a little flavour text.
  • Pumpkin Fight – the Ledger now explains how to start one: right-click a rotten pumpkin and choose Start a Pumpkin Fight.
  • Cursed Crypt – the chest now tells you when your household has already claimed today and when you can claim again.
  • Harvest Horde – announcements now say it's best with 3 or more players.
  • Halloween costumes – tooltips now mention the Candy Hoarder buys them for 25 candy.
  • Hedge Maze signs – new signs by the Night Watch Shrine and the Gauntlet Keeper explain Survive the Night and the Pet Gauntlet.
  • Halloween paragons – their cursed map drops work again after a server restart.
  • Candy Vendor – house dyes, the torture wheel, pillory, spike rack, hanging cage, carving knife and carving pumpkin are 25% cheaper.
  • The Restless Dead – the announcement now names the boss, where in the dungeon it rose, and that it leaves after 40 minutes.
  • Pumpkin King – the Ledger now says plainly when and where he rises: Sundays at 19:00 UTC in the Hedge Maze, with the room named in chat.
  • Cursed treasure chests – chests left in the world through a server restart keep their seal and guardians and no longer error when you take items.
  • Master Carver commissions – Exceptional Haunted Stone Weapon Racks now count, and racks keep their Haunted material and quality when placed and repacked.
  • Mirror Duel – your double is tougher, carries your weapon and swings at its speed, and you now have 5 minutes to beat it.
  • Nightdrake – it now really turns up when digging graves.
  • Event rewards – the Pet Gauntlet and Survive the Night now list everything you won in the chat box.

  • Halloween Dress – now shows its Halloween year and a little flavour text.
  • Toxic Green Mushrooms – mature plants can now be turned into decorations.
  • Ledger Notices – the Ledger has a new Notices tab with today's reminders, and login now shows one short line instead of several.
  • Halloween Dungeon – once opened, the pass stays open for 24 hours, even through a server restart.
  • Sunday Harvest Horde – the Pumpkin King leading it is now as tough as the Grave Abomination.
  • Patient Zero – now stands out with a coloured name, and the Horde warns that hitting other players will flag you.
  • Candy Vendor – new mid-priced items: fiery standing and hanging lanterns, a rabbit mask and a skeleton decoration.
  • Haunted Waters – candy from haunted fishing now has a daily limit per household, like other Halloween activities.
  • Leviathan's Lantern – placed and locked-down lanterns now show the green flame too.
  • Witch's Cursed Pact – the Ledger now lists the towns where you can find the Halloween Witch.
  • Haunted Cauldron – you now get a message when a gift doesn't win a prize, and its tooltip no longer repeats itself.
  • 🎟️ New: Halloween Raffles – three raffles paid with Raffle Tokens open at the raffle vendor from October 11, all drawn with the Haunted House Raffle on Halloween night (October 31, 8:00 PM UTC): Midnight Stable (25 tokens a ticket, up to 8 per account) for the Halloween Skeletal Steed statue and the black and yellow SOB 2000 ethereals, Harvest Costumes (10 tokens, up to 12) for four pet costumes with 300 candy each, and Night Pets (5 tokens, up to 15) for four pet dyes and a Spectral pet costume with 150 candy each. Read more

  • Hallows' Eve Ledger – digging a grave, digging up a cursed treasure chest, opening the Cursed Crypt chest and the Witch's Cauldron now also count for group members from other households within 25 tiles. Read more
  • Pet Gauntlet – you're warned at 5 minutes, 2 minutes and 30 seconds left, and when time runs out no new wave starts but you get up to 90 seconds to finish the one you're fighting. Read more
  • Haunted Waters – haunted fish now weigh to one decimal, heavier fish of up to 20 stones can rarely be caught, and on a tie the earlier catch keeps the higher place.
  • Halloween costumes – the Ostard, Nightmare, Daemon, Dragon Rex, Drake, Dragon, Reaper, Ophidian, Wisp and Vampire Bat costumes work again, and a character left stuck "polymorphed" without a costume is freed at the next login.
  • Hallowed gear – the Hallowed Cloak, Mask and Shield keep their bonus when you change region, such as entering a dungeon, without re-equipping.
  • Drowned Boarders – a boarder left alive on your ship no longer heals itself every few hits after you sail away; it can be finished off normally.
  • Master Carver commissions – the lock box, chest and stone weapon rack commissions can now be completed.
  • 📖 New: Hallows' Eve Ledger – an account-bound book listing every Halloween activity: it ticks off what you've tried, suggests what to try next, and pays titles and candy at milestones plus a small daily bonus for trying two different activities in a day. Activities the game has a record of you finishing before it opened are added at your next login, and Hester replaces a lost book. Read more
  • Ledger button and pages – a jack-o'-lantern button beside the minimap opens the Ledger (drag it by its frame, or hide it in Settings), and clicking any activity shows where to find it, how it works and when it runs.
  • 🐉 New: Nightdrake – a rideable winged drake joins the rare Night pets you can dig from graves, with the same stats and pet slots as a Nightmare. Read more
  • Gravedigging creatures – the drake, draken, hell cat and ripper that graves sometimes give up are regular creatures of their kind in dark colours, not Night pets; the draken and ripper can be ridden. Read more
  • Riddle Scrolls – 38 Halloween riddles, each with a clue; guesses ignore capitals, spaces and punctuation; the scroll shows your tries left and a tray of your riddle letters to click; Halloween scrolls pay up to 5 candy per hidden letter (was 3), and common letters drop more often. Read more
  • Mirror Duel – it's just you against your reflection now: your pets and summons wait outside the gate, summoning spells don't work in the pits, and nothing can be stolen from the reflection or cut off it. Read more
  • Restless Graves – solving the gravestone puzzle now pays 20-35 candy (was 5-15).
  • Hungry Ghosts – about half the time, a ghost you feed gives a small treat back: 5 candy or a riddle letter.
  • Pumpkin seeds – spare Toxic and Bloodmoon seeds now sell to the Candy Vendor for 5 candy (plain seeds stay at 1).
  • Lost Soul – the soul you're leading to rest now follows you through Recall, just as it does through gates.
  • Leviathan's Lantern – it now burns with an eerie green flame, and lanterns in your backpack or bank turn green too. Read more
  • Horseman statues – the Doctor Plague and Snail statues now arrive packed so you can move them; a stuck one in your backpack is packed for you at your next login.
  • Cursed Crypt chest – its claim and already-claimed messages now appear in the chat box and tell you when your household has claimed today (it resets at 09:00 UTC).
  • Login reminders – the daily Halloween reminders (Agatha's Ghost Tour, the Cauldron, the Pumpkin King, the Horde, and your pumpkin needing water or being ripe) now appear in the chat box instead of floating text.
  • Haunted House Raffle – the prize house's sign now reads "Owner: Raffle Winner", and the house doesn't decay while it waits for its winner.
  • Witch's Pact – right-click the Halloween Witch and choose Strike a pact; the Ledger now says so too.
  • Cursed treasure chests – the Level 5 chest now has a harder lock (Deviously) and 8-10 guardians (was 6-8), keeps its tier name, and taking items from a Level 5 or Level 6 cursed chest can raise more guardians.

  • Costumes – costume tooltips now remind you to Beg at any town vendor while you wear one.
  • Candy barrels – the 30-candy barrel now starts its 1-hour countdown only once you place it.
  • Large exploding pumpkins – the loot bag can now hold a 1,500-2,500 gold purse, and rarely a Grave-Sealed Ward, a Riddle Scroll or a Halloween garden seed (up to 20 bags per household per day).
  • Wild pumpkins – smashing one now has a small chance to drop a Halloween Riddle Scroll.
  • Pumpkin seeds – they drop from wild pumpkins less often now that the Patch is open, and spare seeds of all three kinds sell to the Candy Vendor for 1 candy each.
  • Pumpkin deadlines – seed tooltips now say exactly when: plant until the end of October 25 and judge until the end of October 31 (midnight UTC).
  • Gravedigging pets – rare pets dug up from graves are never paragons, so you can always tame what you find.
  • Keep your Halloween goodies – pet costumes, pet tonics, the Potion of Vampirism, the Reaper's Lantern and the Grave-Sealed Ward keep working after Halloween ends (against monsters only).
  • Leaderboards – the Halloween leaderboards open in a clearer, easier-to-read window, and the Haunted Waters board has a Close button.
  • 🌱 New: Halloween garden seeds! Bloodmoon Poppy, Toxic Green Mushroom Spore and Spectral Lily are on sale at the Candy Vendor for 150 candy each, and drop rarely from wild pumpkins. Grow them in house pots and garden beds. Halloween colours breed true with their own kind and never turn up from ordinary seeds.
  • Sunken Treasure Maps – sunken chests and their guardians now appear on the ship's deck instead of in the water, and guardians that wander off the deck are brought back, so chests no longer stay warded by guardians you can't reach.
  • Cursed Treasure Maps – the Witch no longer appears as a chest guardian.
  • Gravedigging creatures – rare creatures now turn up from graves far more often.
  • Drowned Boarders – boarders your pets defeat now count toward your candy.
  • Candy Vendor – you can now sell ectoplasm to the Candy Vendor (the sell window only offered a minus button before).
  • Daily limit icon – when you reach a Halloween daily limit, a buff icon now shows which activity it is and how long until it resets at 09:00 UTC. Read more about these limits here: https://wiki.shardsofbritannia.com/en/halloween-2026/whats-new-halloween-2026#daily-activities-and-fair-limits
  • Pumpkin candy – the daily pumpkin limit was counting candy from pumpkin monsters before anyone killed them, so heavy smashers hit it far too soon. You'll be able to smash many more pumpkins before it kicks in.
  • Gravedigging candy – the daily limit was counting every grave at its maximum possible candy, so busy diggers ran out very quickly (and monsters from their graves carried no candy for anyone). It now counts what you actually get.
  • Drowned Boarders – boarders that nobody defeats now sink back into the sea after 10 minutes instead of riding your ship forever.
  • Halloween Pumpkin Seeds – seed tooltips now explain how to grow them in the new Pumpkin Patch, which opens on October 8th.

🛠️ Mega Patch

  • Mega Patch – over 100 fixes from your bug reports and the Known Issues thread, covering combat, pets, mercenaries, magic, Young players, crafting, housing, fishing, vendors and more. Read the full Mega Patch notes.

🌱 Young Players

  • Young status reinstatement – until January 1st, 2027, Lord Seymour (the Lord's Boon quest giver in Britain) can reinstate Young player status once per account for a character that still qualifies.
  • Ocllo – Young players no longer lose Young status from fighting difficult monsters anywhere on Ocllo island, including the campfire.

🩹 Skills & Fixes

  • Pets left behind – if a pet is too far away to travel with you, you're now told right away where it stayed, and a stablemaster can fetch it.
  • Pet ghosts – when a bonded pet dies you're told where its ghost is waiting.
  • Stablemaster – finding pets out of range now waits for every part of the world to answer, so pets in busy areas aren't missed.
  • Stablemaster – asking the stablemaster to find a pet that's out of range now always gives you an answer, even when no pets are found.
  • Healing pets – Young players are now told why they can't heal another player's pet.
  • Dark Guardian – cast on a boat, it now appears on the deck instead of getting stuck at the edge.
  • Bless – Bless, including from Cocoon, now shows its remaining time.
  • Necromancy – necro buffs now show their remaining time.
  • Anatomy – can now study any living creature or NPC, not only players.
  • Forensic Evaluation – undead players get the lore window on any pet, and it no longer shows a stale "killed by" for a living pet or creature.
  • Magic Trap and Remove Trap – a trapped container gets its bag type back when the trap ends or is removed, and Remove Trap no longer turns its colour plain.
  • Vampiric Touch – reports the health it actually restores and stays quiet at full health.
  • Zarx – you can hand in the key and zombie hands straight from your backpack, and if your backpack is too full for the scroll you keep your items and are told why.

🗺️ World

  • Grappling ropes – Grappling ropes now land at the success chance listed on them, so the plain rope always lands, including on the Ghost Ship, and the iron rope lands 25% of the time.
  • Recall and Teleport – You can now recall, use runebook charges, cast Teleport and take the ferryman while carrying up to 4 stones over your limit, the same allowance you have when walking.
  • Escorts – Escorts no longer ask for help from players who aren't allowed to hire them, such as non-Young players in Ocllo.
  • Ocllo – The training grounds walls now block movement properly, with the gates still open on both sides.
  • Ingenious chests – Ingenious chests now turn up in the deepest parts of Destard and Deceit, as intended.
  • Ocllo – horses, chickens and other animals no longer wander into the sea off Ocllo and block boats, and the island's animal herds fill back up properly.
  • Mining caves – pets now leave a mining cave together with you, so a horse no longer shows standing on the ground while you're riding it.
  • South Sea Market – a healer and an ankh now stand in the market, and its bankers and notaries work again.
  • Dropping items – something that couldn't be picked up again can no longer be dropped on the ground, so it can't decay away.

🩹 Interface

  • Bastion – A Bastion buff icon left on your bar after the effect ended is now cleared when you log in.
  • Stablemaster – Fixed an error when opening the pet list at the stablemaster with many pets.
  • Lumberjacking – Finding extra logs now tells you how many you found, not the size of your whole stack.
  • Target cursors – Dying now cancels any open target cursor, so you can no longer place a boat, house or other item as a ghost from a cursor you opened before you died.
  • Login – Fixed players sometimes being disconnected with "Launcher Required" when passing through several regions right after logging in.
  • Killing Blow Auto-Open Backpack – Your target's backpack now opens a moment after the kill, once the loot is in it.
  • Minimap – The sea shows as water again, and houses, boats and other objects in the world now appear on the minimap too.
  • Hotbar – Custom command icons can be picked up and moved around your hotbar again.
  • Titles – The Master Carver of Hallows title now shows in your /title list.
  • Links – the Discord, Wiki and Patch Notes buttons in the game now open the right pages again.
  • Loot All – no longer stops partway through for groups with Shared loot.
  • Move Contents – works like dragging items by hand, and names anything it couldn't move.
  • Notifications – removing a notification now removes the one you clicked.
  • Hotbar – a chum slot now uses chum, even with cursed bait in your pack (drag it to the hotbar again once).
  • Quick loot – shows the item's real name, such as "Rare Halloween Candy".
  • Pets – you can now Inspect your pet to see its hue and colour code.
  • Move Contents – an item that can't be moved is left behind instead of stopping the whole move.
  • Journal – the Journal now shows one page at a time, always opening on the newest page.
  • Journal performance – having the Journal open during combat could drag your framerate down to single digits, because the window was being rebuilt several times a second. It now updates at most once a second, skips updates for log categories you've filtered out, and doesn't redraw at all when nothing visible has changed.

🔎 Tracking

  • Hide Party Members – a new option in the Tracking menu leaves your own party members out of the Players, Hostile Players, Friendly Players and Thieves lists, so you only see the people you're looking for. The setting is saved on your character.
  • Hunting Mode – now locks on to the closest target it finds instead of the farthest, and reliably skips your party, guild, faction and your own pets.

💎 Mastery Gems

  • Group loot – with Shared group loot, Mastery Gems now reach the looter whole; before, a looted gem could arrive blank or merge into a different gem (plant pollen and repair deeds were affected too).
  • Install Gem – tells you if you're missing Shard Essence or gold before asking you to pick a gem, and goes straight to the confirmation when you carry just one Mastery Gem.
  • Gem Mastery XP – the necklace tooltip updates right away instead of after a relog, and Hester's Trail and the Headless Search tell you the XP you gained just once.
  • 💎 New: Gem Book! An account-bound book that stores your Mastery Gems on named pages: 1,000 Donation Tokens, or 250,000 gold at the Jeweler. The Candy Vendor sells a Halloween-hued Haunted Gem Book for 1,500 candy.
  • Blank gems – gems that dropped with no bonus and nothing under the name are repaired automatically when you log in.
  • Stored gems – gems kept in commodity deeds or storage now come back as separate gems, each with its own fair roll.
  • Resource chests – house and gardener resource chests no longer accept Mastery Gems, since storing them there wiped and re-rolled their bonuses.

📜 Quests & Gardening

  • Toxic Green Mushrooms – decorations now keep their full name.
  • Gold rewards – quest and Thief Hunter gold rewards now show their reward message.
  • Horse Cart – the Horse Cart quest can now be repeated once every 20 hours.
  • Plant crosses – crossing rare-colour plants no longer fails.

🎣 Fishing

  • Halloween Fishing Contest – the leaderboard now has its own board for each haunted fish (Ghostfin, Pumpkin Carp and Drowned Eel), where regular catches compete without the Colossals. At the end of the season each board's winner earns a champion title, the top 3 get a mounted trophy of their fish, and the top 10 get rare candy. Your catches from earlier in the season are already on the new boards.
  • Haunted Waters – rare Colossal haunted fish of 20 to 50 stones can now be caught (the whole shard hears about it), and every haunted fish shows its exact record weight, the same number the leaderboard uses.
  • 🏆 New: Halloween Fishing Contest! Every Sunday the heaviest haunted catch of the week gets a shout-out, and at the end of the season the top anglers win titles (Leviathan's Bane, Master of the Haunted Waters), the Leviathan's Lantern, hued fish trophies and rare candy, delivered at their next login.
  • 🎣 New: haunted fish dishes! Cook Ghostfin Chowder, Drowned Eel Stew and Pumpkin Carp Pie for 30 minutes of help against monsters. Details on the wiki.
  • 🎣 Bait icon – while the fishing rod in your hand has bait on it, a Bait icon now shows on your buff bar with the bait type and its catch bonus. No more checking the paperdoll!
  • Cursed Bait – each catch now gets its own 12% chance at the Halloween catches, and the bait is eaten less often.
  • 🌙 Night at sea – a moon or sun icon above the minimap now shows whether it's night while you're at sea, when the rarest Haunted Waters catches bite.
  • Haunted Waters – haunted catch tooltips now read "Fished up by [name] during Halloween 2026", and rare catches (sunken chests, relics, lanterns) now have a daily limit per household like other Halloween rewards.

⚔️ Combat & Creatures

  • Auto-target – Your auto-target setting now stays as you left it when you enter the world, and bandaging yourself, your last target or your group no longer switches it off.
  • Unwavering Stance – Its tooltip and messages now tell you exactly what it requires.
  • Mutant rats – A freed mutant rat can no longer be killed by the ratman captains before you get the chance to tame it.
  • Deceit – Fire elementals and liches no longer spawn inside the sealed fire pits on level 4.
  • Guards – Calling guards in a guarded town now also strikes down monsters there, including in South Sea Market.
  • Drowned Boarders – They now leave a ship that sails into a guarded town.
  • Blood Siphon – Every tick now deals at least 1 damage, even at the edge of its range.
  • Herding – Riding your own pet now trains Herding only while you have a shepherd's crook equipped.
  • Shame – Nameless monsters in Shame that couldn't be killed are now replaced with normal ones.
  • Bandages – Bandage Last and group bandaging now find bandages inside bags in your backpack, like the regular bandage command.
  • Next target – the next-target keys no longer pick your own pets, your group's pets and summons, or yourself.
  • Mining – the message when you find extra ore now says how much you found, and pets are never lost when a mining cave resets.
  • Boss fights – bosses that summon helpers now take much less work to run, so big boss fights should be smoother.
  • Corpses – monster corpses disappear normally again; the Drowned Boarder and other bodies that had been piling up on ship decks and around the world since Thursday clear away after the restart.
  • Performance – big boss fights and busy events should run noticeably smoother: the game now does much less unnecessary work during combat, cutting the lag spikes and server strain that crowded fights could cause.
  • Leashing – a creature heading home turns and fights again if you hit it while it's still in range, and creatures that chase too far now reliably go home instead of freezing.
  • Waking creatures – a creature you wake now goes for you instead of heading home, and entering combat mode with a creature selected wakes it.
  • Ranged creatures – archers and casters back away from their attacker instead of running toward their spawn, and fight for a few seconds between retreats.
  • Patrols – patrolling creatures return to their route after a fight instead of chasing forever.
  • Bosses after a restart – an untouched boss no longer stands passive and invulnerable for a minute after each server restart.
  • Seasonal paragons – paragons, including the Halloween titans, now pay paragon gold (titans up to 3,000) instead of ordinary monster gold.
  • Necromancer pets – undead pets no longer cause other players' pets to attack them.
  • Kill credit – monsters with special death rewards now credit the player who actually killed them.
  • No more surprise full heals – Drowned Boarders, and monsters and bosses in general, no longer heal back to full in the middle of a fight just because nobody hit them for a few seconds. They only recover once they've truly left combat.
  • Necromancer pets – undead pets no longer provoke harmless animals (chickens, boars, turkeys) into attacking them after a fight.
  • Transfusion – its cooldown now works as intended.

⛵ Boats

  • Pets on ships – pets ordered to attack a sea creature now move to the closest spot on deck and fight it instead of ignoring the order.
  • Boats – boats now sail straight through corpses in the water instead of being stopped by them. The corpse stays where it fell, so you can still loot it.
  • Fixed a bug where teleporting to your boat with its key (or logging in while aboard) could leave you swimming beside it, with "a strong current" dragging you to shore and your pets moved off the deck.
  • Fixed boats sometimes refusing to move ("something is blocking the way") when someone was standing in the middle of the deck.
  • Fixed items occasionally being refused when dropped onto a boat's deck, with a "You can't throw stuff into the water!" message.
  • Boat keys – teleporting to a boat in another region no longer shows the "doesn't seem to exist" message twice.

🧰 Items, Crafting & Vendors

  • Stacks – Items you can't sell back to vendors now stay in their own stack, so new items of the same kind never get mixed in and lose their sell value.
  • Player vendors – The carry warning now counts a stack as one item (100 Grave Dust no longer counts as 100 items).
  • Blades – The Default Action line now appears at the bottom of a blade's tooltip. Existing blades are updated automatically.
  • Town vendors – Item icons and previews in a vendor's buy window now show the colour you're actually buying, including the Candy Vendor's colourways.
  • Talisman of the Unpickable Vault – It now stays equipped when you log out and back in.
  • Organize – Organize no longer takes over your own pouches; it only reuses the temporary ones it made.
  • Town vendors – Fixed an error that stopped some town vendors' buy windows from opening.
  • Thief Hunters – Thief Hunters no longer buy black goods stolen by your own household, and black goods turn-ins now have a shared daily gold limit per household.
  • Crafting lists – crafting from your Recently Crafted or Favorites list works again for recipes like the stone fireplace, which showed a "problem with that crafting recipe" message.
  • Majestic Dovetail Saw – its +5 Carpentry bonus now works whenever you craft with it, for both the Master Carver and Bulk Order saws.
  • Display cabinets – the cabinets from the Season 9 Champion's Hoard now arrive packed. Any that got stuck in a bag or chest are packed up for you automatically.
  • Training at vendors – saying "vendor train animal taming" now teaches Animal Taming. If what you ask for could mean more than one skill, the vendor asks which one you mean.
  • Master Carver – commission deeds now remind you to choose the Haunted material in the crafting window.
  • Bag repair – when you repair a bag you now choose which items to repair: "Rather battered or worse" (recommended), "Barely used or worse", or "Anything with wear". Each choice shows how many items it covers, so barely scratched gear no longer loses lifetime to repairs it didn't need.
  • Repair results – after a repair you're told how much lasting durability it cost and about how many repairs the item has left, with a clear warning when the next repair will destroy it.
  • Pouches – securing or locking down a sorted pouch now keeps its type, colour and name. Pouches that already lost their type need to be set again.
  • Crafted deeds – repacked furniture keeps its material name, such as "Haunted Stone Weapon Rack Deed".
  • Sacred Runebook – Mark and Gate charges are only used when the spell works.
  • Cursed Crook – now shows as "a Cursed Crook" instead of looking like a plain shepherd's crook.
  • Lord's Boon – a buff icon now counts down until your Lord's Boon is ready again.
  • Repair – target one of your bags with Repair to repair everything repairable inside it.
  • Item condition – an item's condition now updates as soon as it wears or is repaired, including after a failed repair, and the low-durability warning shows once at 25% and again at 10% instead of on every hit.
  • Masterwork Catalyst – no longer lowers the durability of items that were already above its bonus.
  • Repair contracts – contracts stolen from a stack keep their skill and level.
  • Resource chests – clearing the search no longer resets the amounts you typed.
  • Bag organizer – pouches inside locked chests keep their type and colour.
  • Hats and hoods – if one breaks while you're wearing it, your hair comes back.
  • Cart horses – using a regular horse dye on one now tells you to use a Horse Cart dye.
  • Exceptional crafting – the Cleverly Locked Box, Chest and Stone Weapon Rack can now be crafted at Exceptional quality.
  • Holiday item names – Halloween torches and a few other holiday items that showed "#year#" in their name now show the year; ones you already have are fixed at the next restart.
  • 👀 New: try before you buy! The Preview button on town vendors, veteran and patron rewards and bulk order rewards now places the item at your feet for 3 minutes, visible only to you. A small window lets you raise, lower, rotate or remove it, so you can see exactly how that furniture or decoration will look before you spend a coin. Pets and mounts for sale can be previewed too: a copy appears next to the vendor for 30 seconds.
  • Pillows – every pillow (furniture, packed and treasure-chest pillows) can now be cut into 3 cloth with scissors, one at a time or with cut-all.
  • Wooden Buckets – buckets from shipwrecks can now be chopped into boards with a hatchet, including the ones you already have.
  • Repair contracts – repair contracts from Halloween rewards no longer come out blank ("take this to a nil shop"). Use a blank contract and choose a trade, and it becomes a Grandmaster repair contract for that trade. Blank contracts already in your bags work too.
  • Weapon durability – some items re-rolled their maximum durability every time the game checked them, so a barely used weapon could suddenly claim it needed repairs. The "needs repairs" warning now also matches the tooltip ("Rather battered").
  • Vendors – fixed an error when an item sold out while it was in your shopping list.

🩹 Buff Bar

  • Buff bar – fixed more buff icons that could stay on your bar after their effect had ended

Fixed a bug where bandage icons could get stuck on your buff bar and pile up in a row. This happened when a bandage was interrupted at just the wrong moment, or if you logged out or changed areas while bandaging. Bandage icons now clear themselves once the bandage ends, no matter how it ends. If you already have stuck bandage icons, they will disappear on your next login. If any other buff icon stays on your bar after its effect has worn off, please let us know which one. Hover over the icon to see its name.

Monster behavior

  • Monsters now turn back at the same distance every time instead of giving up at random.
  • A monster stays on whoever has done the most to it. A single hit from someone else, or a player walking past, no longer pulls it away. Tanks and pets hold aggro reliably.
  • Monsters that ignore you on sight keep ignoring you, and they always go for the nearest player first.
  • Monsters eventually forget players who stopped fighting them.
  • Healing only draws attention from monsters fighting the person you heal.
  • Fleeing monsters run away from you instead of in a random direction.
  • Idle monsters stay near where they belong.
  • Monsters that lose sight of you will look around for a few seconds before giving up.
  • Creatures left stranded far from home now return to where they belong once the area is clear.
  • Lord Grargh the Warchief no longer resets constantly and can be fought properly again.

Pets

  • Caster pets such as drakens now keep chasing their target instead of stopping to cast from out of range.

Factions

  • Fixed a bug where a sigil placed in a Sigil Holder could be returned to its town early, leaving a second copy behind in the holder.

Crafting and items

  • Your carried weight now updates correctly after milling logs into boards, and after anything else that changes the size of a stack, such as smelting, crafting or splitting stacks.

🎃 Halloween Weekend in Britannia!

Halloween is almost here, and this weekend we're turning it up! The big fights are spread about 2 hours apart, so there's time to loot, travel and rest between them, and every one is announced in game about 15 minutes ahead and again when it starts. You'll also find tonight's times in the Notices tab of your Hallows' Eve Ledger. All times below are UTC.

🕯️ Saturday, October 31st: Halloween Night

  • 14:00 – The Restless Dead rise in today's dungeon.
  • 16:00 – The Ghost Ship rises off Ocllo's south-east coast, by the moongate.
  • 18:00 – The Harvest Horde at the Moonglow Graveyard.
  • 20:00 – Raffle draws: the Haunted House, Midnight Stable, Harvest Costumes and Night Pets.
  • 20:30 – The Vengeful Horseman answers a Halloween offering at the old graveyard. No gold needed from anyone, just bring everyone you can!
  • 22:30 – The Pumpkin King rises early in the Hedge Maze.
  • 00:30 (Sunday) – The Headless Horseman rides from his grave by the old graveyard.
  • 02:30 (Sunday) – The Haunted Cauldron may boil over. Watch for the countdowns.

    🎃 Sunday, November 1st

  • 16:00 – The Restless Dead.
  • 18:00 – The Harvest Horde at the Hedge Maze, with the Pumpkin King as its final boss, for the last time this season. The Fishing Contest and heaviest pumpkin shout-outs go out at the same time.
  • 20:00 – The Headless Horseman rides.
  • 22:00 – A free Survive the Night at the Night Watch Shrine in the Hedge Maze. The gate is open for one minute and takes the first 8 players, so be there on time!
  • 00:30 (Monday) – The Ghost Ship sails again.

🍬 Bonus candy and a Halloween sale

From Saturday 09:00 to Monday 09:00 UTC:

  • Higher daily candy limits. Most Halloween activities stop paying candy once your household has earned a set amount from them that day (the limit resets every day at 09:00 UTC). This weekend those limits go up, so you can keep earning candy for longer:
    • Bounty Board: 450 candy a day (normally 300)
    • Harvest Horde: 450 candy a day (normally 300)
    • Gravedigging: 600 candy a day (normally 400)
    • Headless Horseman: 450 candy a day (normally 300)
  • Double Ledger daily bonus: trying two different Halloween activities in a day pays 50 candy instead of 25.
  • 15% off everything the Candy Vendor sells for candy, and the sale has already started: it runs from now until the Monday 09:00 UTC restart. If you've been saving up for something, this is the weekend to buy it! Short on candy? Gilded Candy is sold for gold by the Gilded Candy Merchant next to the Candy Vendor: 250 candy per sack for 50,000 gold, up to 2 sacks per account for the whole season. Spend it at the Candy Vendor and the Volatile Barrel vendor. Last chance to plant pumpkins: plant before the end of October 31st (UTC).

🌙 The last night: Friday, November 6th

  • 18:00 – The Restless Dead.
  • 20:00 – The last Harvest Horde, at the Hedge Maze, with the Pumpkin King.
  • 22:00 – The Headless Horseman's last ride.
  • 00:30 (Saturday) – The last Ghost Ship. Halloween's events and the Ledger close at the November 7th 09:00 UTC restart, so the last night is Friday, November 6th. The Candy Vendor in town keeps trading until December 1st, and any Halloween candy and Gilded Candy you keep carries over to the summer holiday events, so there's no need to rush-spend.

    Also new

  • A Headless Horseman nobody is fighting no longer stands in the way of the next ride.
  • On other days the Harvest Horde now comes at 16:00 or 01:30 UTC instead of the quiet morning hours.
  • Previewing an item at a vendor now shows its full description, including its Halloween year and any Hallowed bonus, and the Candy Vendor's Hallowed cloaks and shield now list their bonus in the shop. Happy Halloween, Britannia! 🎃

☀️🎃 Summer Holiday Activities are coming! You've told us for a long time that the holidays end too soon and that there's never enough seasonal fun to go around. We heard you!

Starting next year, our holiday events won't only come around once a year. Halfway through the year, in the summer, we'll bring holiday activities back for a limited time, possibly with a slight twist. 🌞

That means more chances to take part, more to collect, and more time to save up for the things you've had your eye on.

Hang on to your leftover candy! Halloween candy carries over, and you'll have more to do and more to spend it on when the summer events arrive.

We'll share dates and details closer to the time. Until then, enjoy the rest of Halloween! 🎃

🎃 Halloween 2026: A Sneak Peek 🎃

Halloween returns October 1st, and this is our biggest Halloween yet. Here's a taste of what's coming:

🏠 Homes, Pets & Style

  • House Dyes! A brand-new feature: give your home a spooky new colour for the season, and wash it off whenever you like.
  • Pet Costumes that truly transform your pet. Turn a chicken into a dragon, or your dog into a hell hound, until you take the costume off. Your pet always gets its own look back.
  • Mount Costumes for rideable pets, so your steed can join the fun too.
  • Temporary Pet Styling Potions. Give your pet a temporary monstrous makeover, with a little something extra in battle.
  • New colourways for Halloween masks, robes, cloaks and more, plus lots of new masks, cloaks and pet dyes at the Candy Vendor.
  • Spooky house decorations, including gnarled graveyard trees, tabletop mini trees and the Harvest Scarecrow.
  • Four new Night pets waiting to be dug up while gravedigging.

🎃 Pumpkins, Candy & Classic Fun

  • The Pumpkin Patch. Grow your own giant pumpkins, carve them into keepsakes, and see how they measure up at the judging stand. Rumour has it the Pumpkin King himself pays a visit at the end of the season.
  • Rotten Pumpkins and the Pumpkin Fight. Grab a rotten pumpkin and start a messy battle.
  • The Trick-or-Treat Trail returns with Hester Hollowell, and her story doesn't end there: The Headless Search picks up where the Trail leaves off.
  • The Ghost Tour. A wandering chronicler has tales to tell, if you can find her.
  • Hungry Ghosts. Trick-or-treating in reverse: these ghosts want your candy.
  • The Haunted Cauldron. The whole shard donates candy together to reach community milestones.

16th Sep 2026 announcement

🎃 Halloween 2026

Halloween opens October 1 at 9:00 UTC and runs through November 7 at 9:00 UTC.

What is happening

  • Pumpkins return across the world, along with trick or treating, the Halloween dungeon, gravedigging, seasonal fishing and paragon hunting.
  • The Halloween vendors stay open until December 1, so there is plenty of time to spend what you gather after the event itself ends.
  • A login gift is waiting for every account from October 24 until the event closes.
  • We are running a property raffle this year. Tickets go on sale when the event opens and the draw is on Halloween night, October 31 at 8:00 PM UTC. Anyone who has won a house in a past raffle sits this one out, so the keys go to someone new.
  • There are a few new faces to hunt down among the rare pets.

What we have been working on

We went back through years of your suggestions, bug reports and thread posts and used them as the to do list.

A good part of this year went into the unglamorous half: pieces of the event that had quietly stopped working, drops that were not landing the way they should, prices that had drifted, and rewards that nobody could actually reach. The short version is that the season should feel closer to how it was meant to feel.

There is new content on top of that, including a few small additions that came straight out of requests from players.

What comes after

  • Thanksgiving: November 7 to December 5
  • Christmas: December 5 to January 2
  • New Year: December 31

Thank you for the ideas, the bug reports and the patience. Keep them coming. A good number of this year's changes started as a message from one of you. 👻

Your bound items are now protected from accidental loss.

✨ What's New

🎁 Automatic Item Rescue Soulbound, account-bound, and Patron reward items will no longer be destroyed when they would normally be lost. The server now catches them and delivers them safely to your bank instead.

This now protects items lost to:

  • 🏚️ Houses falling into IDOC / decaying
  • ⏳ Items left on the ground long enough to decay
  • 💀 Items left inside a monster corpse that rots away
  • ➕ Plus other cases of decay or deletion

Account-bound & soulbound items return to your account vault — claim them from any character the next time you open your bank. Character-bound Patron items return to the specific character they belong to.

📬 Rescue Notifications You'll get a message letting you know when an item has been saved so you know to check your bank. During big events like a house collapse, these are bundled into one summary so you're not spammed.

🗑️ Destroy Bound Item Need to get rid of a bound item on purpose? Right-click it and choose Destroy Bound Item. You'll always get a confirmation prompt first — no accidental deletions.

5th Jun 2026 patchnote

Faction Pillar Conflicts have received their largest update in years. Events are no longer locked to a single thirty-minute ruleset at a random site. Faction players can now configure almost every aspect of a match from their faction stone before it goes live, choose where it is fought, and pick one of three distinct game modes. Portals still open in major cities when an event starts, and the classic pillar arenas remain the battlegrounds — but how you fight there is now largely up to you.

To schedule an event, use Activate Pillar Event on your faction stone. A setup window lets you pick duration, respawn rules, player limits, combat mode, base protection, mounts, bolas, and location. When you are ready, press Schedule Event for a Team Pillar or Free-For-All match using those settings. Capture the Flag is started separately with the CTF Mode button, which applies fixed CTF rules on top of your chosen duration, respawn, mount, bola, and location options. You must select a location before anything can be scheduled. The server also checks that enough players are online; team and CTF events normally require at least two factions represented, while FFA events can be scheduled when only one faction has members online, as long as the minimum total player count is met. A short countdown follows approval, then the announcement goes out and the portals open.

Duration and reward scaling now follow the length you choose. Team and FFA events can run ten, twenty, thirty, forty-five, or sixty minutes. Capture the Flag requires at least twenty minutes; if you had ten minutes selected for a pillar event and switch to CTF, the duration automatically bumps to twenty. Rewards scale with time, using thirty minutes as the baseline at one hundred percent. A ten-minute event pays roughly a third of that, a twenty-minute event about two-thirds, forty-five minutes one and a half times, and sixty minutes double. Team events capped at one player per faction pay twenty-five percent of the scaled amount on top of that. FFA gold payouts use the same duration scaling.

Respawn and stat loss can be set to Zerg (instant respawn, no stat loss), Fast (light stat loss and quicker healer cycles), or Standard (classic delay and heavier stat loss). This applies to all three modes. Player limits for Team and FFA range from Open (everyone can fight), Balanced teams (overpopulated factions may bench extra players as inactive standby), or hard caps from one-versus-one through five-versus-five per faction. CTF always uses balanced teams with a plus-one standby slot. Combat mode for scheduled pillar events is either Team battle, where only rival factions score kill credit and a faction wins by total points, or FFA, where everyone can damage everyone and the top individual player wins the announcement. Faction bases can be Safe, with guards protecting spawn areas as in classic events, or Open, allowing fighting inside enemy spawns. CTF always uses open bases. Mounts can be allowed or disabled; when disabled, players are dismounted on entry and cannot use mounts or ethereal mounts for the duration. Bolas can be allowed or turned off entirely. Locations include Spiritwood Outpost near Skara Brae, Vraal's Mausoleum near Minoc, Deep Forest Ruins in Yew, Samlethe Pass in Wind, and Dragon's Peak on Dagger Isle.

When an event goes live, faction members who enter the arena receive the Faction Event buff automatically if they are eligible. While under that effect you do not consume reagents, bandages, or arrows, though you must still carry them. On death you drop only magical equipment and volatile spellbooks. Recall and gate travel are blocked, skill gains are paused, and after a short delay you teleport to your faction's event healer, which resurrects on a timer depending on the respawn mode you chose. Bonded pets teleport with you; healers generally will not resurrect pets unless they are mountable. If death teleport fails, the /basereturn command sends your ghost and pets back to your faction base while you are dead. Players suffering event stat loss are not worth silver and cannot earn kill silver until it wears off. Under Standard respawn, expect roughly ninety seconds of reduced stats and slower movement, scaled by the selected preset. Factions with more active players than the smallest faction may suffer increased stat loss over time. If safe bases are enabled, enemies who enter a guarded enemy spawn are killed by guards; that protection does not apply in CTF or when open bases are selected.

A draggable event HUD shows the mode, faction standings, your kills, deaths, and captures where relevant, the options in effect, and in CTF the flag status including a respawn countdown when the flag is returning to the pillar. The plus button opens the leaderboard. When balanced teams are active and one faction is overpopulated, extra members join as plus-one Inactive standby. Standby players are in the event but cannot fight for score and cannot pick up the CTF flag; they are activated automatically when team sizes even out. Balance benching does not apply when fewer than three players are in the match. Please note that Minax characters are temporarily blocked from joining live pillar and CTF events, though staff may still spectate; this restriction may be lifted in a future update.

Team Pillar remains the default classic mode. Every thirty seconds the pillar ticks if at least two factions have active fighters present. One faction controlling the pillar earns two faction points and two individual points for nearby members. Two factions contesting earn one point each. Three factions present, or nobody holding the pillar, earns nothing. Kills steal a portion of the victim faction's points when that faction has points to lose, with the top damager credited on the leaderboard. Same-faction kills do not score. Kills between characters on the same machine do not score. Repeat kills on the same opponent within two minutes do not score, except in one-versus-one team events where that cooldown is skipped because there is only one enemy. Valid rival kills during the event pay kill silver through the pillar system rather than normal overworld faction payouts. The faction with the most points when time expires wins.

End-of-event rewards for Team Pillar and CTF require meaningful activity in the match: at least two total kills across all players for team events, or at least one flag capture plus two opposing factions having been present for CTF rewards. If the gate fails, everyone is told that no rewards were given. Winning faction members receive faction coins and silver scaled by duration, with bonuses if your faction controls Cove. Losing faction members who earned individual points receive a participation silver payout. The top five players by individual points receive tiered silver bonuses if they meet presence and participation requirements; team mode requires sufficient combat involvement and, for top rewards, kills on multiple unique opponents (one unique opponent suffices in one-versus-one team events). The number-one player by points also has a ten percent chance at a rare faction pillar prize, but only on events scheduled for thirty minutes or longer. Presence requirements are fifty percent of the event for team pillar and twenty-five percent for CTF. Standby players generally do not receive win or lose payouts unless activated onto the fighting roster. You must still have the Faction Event effect when rewards are processed at the end.

Free-For-All mode removes faction victory. There are no pillar faction points and no kill point stealing between teams. Individual score comes from your share of damage on kills, and same-machine and repeat-kill restrictions are relaxed so scrimmages flow more freely. The top individual player wins the end announcement, with ties possible. FFA does not pay faction coins, silver, or the rare prize, but it now pays gold to the top five players deposited into your bank. At a full thirty-minute event the winner receives fifteen thousand gold, with second through fifth place receiving twelve thousand, nine thousand, six thousand, and three thousand respectively, following a five-four-three-two-one split. Shorter or longer events scale those amounts with the same duration multiplier used elsewhere. FFA requires at least two total kills in the match for any gold to be paid, and eligible top players must have scored points or sufficient combat participation and meet the twenty-five percent presence requirement. Scheduling an FFA event only requires one faction to be online rather than two.

Capture the Flag is a entirely new way to fight at the pillar. Use the CTF Mode button on the faction stone rather than Schedule Event. CTF uses balanced teams with plus-one standby, open bases, flag captures as the only scoring, no pillar control ticks, and no kill-based point stealing. Kills still matter tactically because they drop the flag, and rival kills during an active CTF now pay kill silver the same way team pillar kills do, without affecting capture points. The flag spawns at the central pillar. An active fighter uses the flag to pick it up, wearing it as a flag quiver on their back, and carries it to their faction healer base within capture range to score. Each capture awards ten points to your faction and to you personally. After a capture the flag respawns at the pillar after two minutes, with a countdown shown on the HUD. If the carrier dies the flag drops where they fell. If the carrier leaves the event the flag returns to the pillar after two minutes. Carriers can pass the flag to a teammate through the quiver's transfer target, but cannot mount, and sigil or siege key holders cannot carry the flag. Standby players cannot pick up the flag. To prevent solo abuse, the flag cannot be picked up or captured until at least two different factions each have one active fighter on the roster; the HUD will show when the flag is waiting for another faction. End rewards follow the same coin and silver structure as team pillar, with CTF-specific presence and participation rules tied to captures and roster membership rather than kill counts.

When an event ends, the pillar deactivates, healers are removed, rewards are calculated, leaderboards are shown, and the Faction Event effect remains briefly so payouts can finish before normal rules return. Staff who stop an event early end it with no rewards for anyone.

Whether you are organizing a quick ten-minute skirmish, a full-hour siege for maximum payout, a free-for-all gold hunt, or a capture-the-flag grudge match, the faction stone is now your war table. Rally your faction, choose your rules, and meet your enemies at the pillar.

⚔️ Faction Challenges Are Here! ⚔️

Tired of random skirmishes? Ready for real faction warfare with actual stakes? Faction Challenges let you call out a rival, defend your base (or hit theirs), fight for a prized chest, and climb the server-wide scoreboard. Stack up enough wins and your whole faction unlocks rare rewards at the Faction Coin Vendor.

The Challenge Stone

Every faction base has a Challenge Stone — this is where it all begins and where you answer when someone else throws down the gauntlet.

Glance at the stone to quickly see what’s happening:

  • Red — A challenge has been issued and is still waiting for someone to accept it.
  • Blue — A challenge was accepted. The fight is live (countdown, chest phase, or full battle window).

You can also open the Challenge Scoreboard directly from the stone to view wins, upcoming faction rewards, and recent results.

Issuing a Challenge

Rally enough of your faction members at your own Challenge Stone.

Choose Start Faction Challenge. The whole server hears about it. A rival faction then has 20 minutes to accept at their stone (not yours).

If nobody accepts in time
The challenge simply expires. You’re not stuck waiting for hours — you can try again whenever you’re ready.

If you want to cancel early
Use Cancel Faction Challenge. Your faction then has a short 5-minute cooldown before you can issue another one.

Accepting a Challenge

When another faction has thrown down the gauntlet, gather enough members at your own Challenge Stone.

Choose Accept Faction Challenge. Everyone gets the news — it’s on. You cannot accept your own faction’s challenge; only a rival can answer the call.

Once accepted, both sides have 10 minutes to prepare before the Faction Challenge Chest appears at the issuing faction’s base.

How the Fight Plays Out

  1. The Call (up to 20 minutes) — One faction issues the challenge. Rival stones glow red while they wait for a response or for time to run out.
  2. The Rally (10 minutes) — Challenge accepted. Stones turn blue. Both factions know the clock is ticking and prepare.
  3. The Chest — A Faction Challenge Chest spawns at the issuing faction’s base. A fresh alert goes out so everyone can converge.
  4. The Hour (60 minutes) — The challenge stays fully active. Stones remain blue for the entire period.
  5. The Finish — Someone claims the chest, or time and chaos decide the outcome.

Who Can Open the Chest?

This is the heart of the fight.

If your faction issued the challenge (Defenders):
You cannot open the reward chest during the first 60 minutes. Your job is to defend your base and stop the other side from looting it. After the hour passes, the restriction lifts — but a fast-moving rival may have already taken everything.

If your faction accepted the challenge (Attackers):
You are the aggressors. During that same first hour you can fight for and open the chest (after its short initial lock period expires to give both sides time to arrive). You do not have to wait the full hour — strike while you have the advantage.

Winning the Chest (and the Scoreboard)

The standard path to a scoreboard win:

  • A member of the accepting faction opens the chest during their allowed window.
  • That faction completely empties the chest (not just a quick peek).

When the chest is emptied, the accepting faction earns the win on the scoreboard, the server announces the victory, and the event ends.

Issuing a challenge and then waiting out the full hour before you can even touch the chest is a gamble — a determined attacking force can often loot it long before your access opens.

Cooldowns in Plain English

  • Nobody accepted your challenge? — No cooldown. You’re free to issue another one whenever you’re ready.
  • You cancelled before anyone accepted? — Short 5-minute faction cooldown, then you can try again.
  • Someone accepted your challenge? — Your faction gets an 8-hour cooldown before it can issue another challenge.
  • Any challenge was accepted on the server? — For the next 1 hour, no faction can start a brand-new challenge. This stops wars from stacking on top of each other.
  • Your faction won and emptied the chest? — The fight ends early so life on the shard can get back to normal sooner.

The Scoreboard

At your Challenge Stone, choose View Challenge Scoreboard to see:

  • How many challenges each faction has won
  • Special Item Unlocks — the progressive rewards your faction can earn at the Faction Coin Vendor as wins add up (you only see the next unlock until the previous one is claimed)
  • Recent history of who challenged whom and who claimed the chest

Worth checking before your next war council.

Rally your people, pick your rivals, and let the challenges begin. Which faction will rise to the top?

Your faction then has a short 5-minute cooldown before you can issue another one. Accepting a Challenge When another faction has thrown down the gauntlet, gather enough members at your own Challenge Stone.

The Call (up to 20 minutes) — One faction issues the challenge. Rival stones glow red while they wait for a response or for time to run out. The Rally (10 minutes) — Challenge accepted. Stones turn blue. Both factions know the clock is ticking and prepare. The Chest — A Faction Challenge Chest spawns at the issuing faction’s base. A fresh alert goes out so everyone can converge. The Hour (60 minutes) — The challenge stays fully active. Stones remain blue for the entire period. The Finish — Someone claims the chest, or time and chaos decide the outcome.

Who Can Open the Chest? This is the heart of the fight. If your faction issued the challenge (Defenders): You cannot open the reward chest during the first 60 minutes. Your job is to defend your base and stop the other side from looting it. After the hour passes, the restriction lifts — but a fast-moving rival may have already taken everything. If your faction accepted the challenge (Attackers): You are the aggressors. During that same first hour you can fight for and open the chest (after its short initial lock period expires to give both sides time to arrive). You do not have to wait the full hour — strike while you have the advantage. Winning the Chest (and the Scoreboard) The standard path to a scoreboard win:

A member of the accepting faction opens the chest during their allowed window. That faction completely empties the chest (not just a quick peek).

Nobody accepted your challenge? — No cooldown. You’re free to issue another one whenever you’re ready. You cancelled before anyone accepted? — Short 5-minute faction cooldown, then you can try again. Someone accepted your challenge? — Your faction gets an 8-hour cooldown before it can issue another challenge. Any challenge was accepted on the server? — For the next 1 hour, no faction can start a brand-new challenge. This stops wars from stacking on top of each other. Your faction won and emptied the chest? — The fight ends early so life on the shard can get back to normal sooner.

The Scoreboard At your Challenge Stone, choose View Challenge Scoreboard to see:

How many challenges each faction has won Special Item Unlocks — the progressive rewards your faction can earn at the Faction Coin Vendor as wins add up (you only see the next unlock until the previous one is claimed) Recent history of who challenged whom and who claimed the chest

Worth checking before your next war council. Rally your people, pick your rivals, and let the challenges begin. Which faction will rise to the top?

11th May 2026 patchnote

Greetings, adventurers!

We're introducing a new balance feature to the Seeker Raven, the bounty hunters' trusty tool for tracking murderers and orcs.

What's New:

The Seeker Raven now enters a 10-minute cooldown after engaging in harvesting activities or PVE combat. Affected Activities: Harvesting: Mining, lumberjacking and fishing. Combat: PVE fights with monsters (excluding PvP and pets). During the cooldown, attempting to use the Seeker Raven will display a message explaining the restriction. Why This Change: This encourages strategic use of the Seeker Raven, preventing spamming after resource gathering or monster slaying, while maintaining its role as a powerful tracking tool for bounty hunters.

Happy hunting! 🦅

The Faction Siege Warfare patch is now live. We will be scheduling the first siege event in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, faction players can begin preparing by harvesting resources to build siege equipment.

Faction players can now mine catapult rocks inside the Faction Dungeon. These rocks can be loaded into catapults and fired at opposing faction players, siege equipment, and protection towers.

GM Alchemists can apply Greater Poison Potions to catapult rocks to create Poison Rocks. These deal initial damage and release poison that affects surrounding players. GM Alchemists can also apply Greater Explosion Potions to create Explosive Rocks, which leave puddles of fire on impact.

Players can now kill pigs and harvest their corpses. These can be fired from catapults. On impact, they cause affected players to start vomiting and the effect is contagious.

Siege bolts can be looted from monsters inside the Faction Dungeon. These bolts are required to craft siege weapons such as battering rams and catapults.

A new boss has been added to the Faction Dungeon. It drops a Magic Scroll that opens a cache filled with siege bolts, as well as Faction Bless Deeds.

Faction bases now have several ballistas installed. These can be used to shoot at battering rams that are attacking the gate.

Ladders have been installed in faction bases. These provide an additional way to enter and exit the base, allowing players to avoid using the main gate during a siege.

Players can craft Battering Ram Kits. These kits can be used at the siege mechanic inside your faction base to purchase a battering ram. Battering rams are used during sieges to smash open the opposing faction’s siege gate and gain entry into their base.

Important note: Battering rams can only take damage from ballistas, catapults, and player weapons. Magic spells and pets cannot damage them.

When a siege event begins, one faction will act as the Defenders while the other faction or factions will be the Attackers. The defending base will have a force field protecting the siege gates, generated by a Protection Tower.

To breach the gate, attackers must destroy the force field by firing catapult rocks at the Protection Tower and destroying it. Once the force field is down, they can use the battering ram to smash open the siege gate.

Defenders can use Siege Repair Tools on the Protection Tower to keep the force field active. All faction players can use the same Siege Repair Tools to repair catapults, ballistas, and battering rams. Defenders can also use the installed ballistas to attack and damage incoming battering rams.

Mages can summon Water Elementals to extinguish fire puddles, which is very useful when trying to repair the Protection Tower. Up to 5 defenders can brace the siege gate at once. This significantly reduces the damage taken from the battering ram.

Recipes for faction bombs can be found in siege warfare rewards and faction pillar rewards. These bombs can be crafted and thrown at enemy siege weapons to inflict damage.

Special items can also be obtained from Siege Warfare rewards and Faction Pillar rewards, including talismans that reduce catapult reload time and a drum that increases the battering ram’s damage output when played.

If the attacking faction breaches the gate and enters the base, they must locate the Faction Chest. It takes 60 seconds to open the chest. Inside is a Key that functions similarly to a sigil. The carrier of the key cannot fast travel and is visible on the minimap. If the key carrier is killed, the key is automatically transferred to the killer.

The first faction to secure the key and return it to their faction’s Siege Warfare Stone wins the event and receives a chest full of loot. This includes the defending faction if they win.

The event lasts 1 hour. If the defenders successfully keep the attackers out for the full hour, they can open the chest inside their own base to claim victory and receive bonus loot for a successful defense.

7th Mar 2026 patchnote

We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Bounty Hunter Distress System. This feature provides innocent players with a reliable way to call for help when under attack by murderers.

Innocent players who are being attacked can summon assistance in one of two ways. They can use a Conch Shell of Distress, which is available for purchase from the Bounty Hunter Guildmaster in Britain Castle. This option is specifically for players who do not have an active Lord's Boon — you cannot use a Conch Shell if you currently have a Lord's Boon. Alternatively, players can switch their Boon to Distress Call mode. Switching to Distress Call mode prevents the use of Lord's Boon for the next 24 hours.

When a distress call is placed, eligible Bounty Hunters receive a dialog prompt asking if they wish to respond. If a hunter accepts, they teleport to the victim's location after a brief 5-second delay. If the Bounty Hunter successfully defeats the murderer or murderers and turns in their head or heads to the guild, the victim who placed the call automatically receives 20% of the bounty reward as a token of appreciation.

If no local Bounty Hunters are available and the player used their Boon to make the call, the system falls back to the standard Lord's Boon teleport — assuming the player has a bound location set.

To maintain balance, Bounty Hunters have a 10-minute cooldown between accepting summons, while victims have a 5-minute cooldown between placing distress calls.

  • Distress Kill Points

To further reward participation, we've introduced the Distress Kill Points mechanic.

Bounty Hunters earn 1 Distress Kill Point each time they successfully respond to a distress call and turn in a murderer's head to the guild. These points acknowledge their vital role in protecting the innocent and upholding justice.

On the flip side, if a murderer kills a Bounty Hunter who has accumulated points, the murderer steals 1 point from the hunter's total. This adds meaningful risk and consequence for both sides, promoting skilled and strategic gameplay.

Players can check their current Distress Kill Point balance at any time by speaking with the Bounty Hunter NPC in Britain Castle.

These points will soon unlock access to exclusive items and rewards available only through the Bounty Hunters Guild and the PK Gear NPC. Stay tuned for more details on what you can purchase as the system continues to expand.

The Bounty Hunters Guild welcomes new members. If you're interested in protecting the innocent, earning rewards for taking down murderers, and building your point total for unique gear, head to the Guildmaster in Britain Castle to join today.

3rd Mar 2026 patchnote

We’ve recently implemented a series of updates to how gear wears down and how repairs work. Our goal is to create a more dynamic world where high-end equipment remains valuable, but eventually needs replacement, keeping our crafters busy and our materials in high demand.

⚔️ Combat Wear (PvE) We’ve increased the rate at which your weapons and armor wear down while fighting monsters. Weapons: Now have a higher chance of losing durability per hit when fighting creatures. Armor & Shields: Now take increased durability loss per hit in PvE.

🛠️ The New Repair System Repairs have been moved to a percentage-based system. Instead of losing a fixed amount per repair, your item’s maximum durability will now decrease by a percentage of its current total.

The Crafting Advantage: High-level expertise matters more than ever. A Grandmaster (GM) crafter will incur a minimal penalty to your item's lifespan, while unskilled repairs will cause a much more significant reduction. Repair Deeds: Deeds still work, but they carry a slightly greater penalty to the item's maximum durability compared to a direct repair from a live player.

💰 Why These Changes? (The Economy) This update is a major boost for the game's economy:

Steady Demand: High-end "Vanquishing" and "Invulnerability" gear now has a finite lifespan. This means players will always be looking to trade for or craft new top-tier equipment. Value for Crafters: Because skill level drastically reduces the repair penalty, high-level Blacksmiths and Carpenters are now more essential than ever. Keeping your gear in the hands of a GM is the only way to maximize its lifespan. Materials Cycle: As gear is retired and replaced, raw materials like Valorite, Verite, and Agapite will maintain their value and importance on the market.
