Keep your gear lasting longer
This month we made item condition much more accurate. It now updates the moment your gear wears, the warnings match the tooltip, and you can repair a whole bag at once. Wear itself hasn't changed, but you can now see it as it happens, and repairing a whole bag makes it easy to repair more often than you need to.
New: whenever you repair a bag, you'll be asked which items to repair. Choose "Rather battered or worse" (recommended), "Barely used or worse", or "Anything with wear". Each option shows how many items in the bag it covers, so barely scratched gear no longer loses lifetime to repairs it didn't need.
How to get the most out of your gear:
- Every repair makes an item a little weaker for good, even a failed one. Fewer repairs = longer life.
- Don't repair too early. Wait until an item says "Rather battered" or worse.
- When repairing a bag, stick with "Rather battered or worse" unless you have a reason not to.
- Use the best smith you can find. Grandmaster repairs cost your gear the least.
- A freshly repaired item always says "new", even when it's nearly worn out. Arms Lore (75+) shows how many repairs it's been through.
- Old, heavily repaired gear breaks fast. When it starts falling apart quickly, replace it.
