We've noticed intermittent issues with our CDN provider that hosts our game’s artwork globally. Sometimes, when artwork is updated, players in certain regions experience login connection failures. We are actively working with our current provider and exploring other options to resolve this problem once and for all. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we work to restore full service.

An issue has been resolved where some players are unable to log into the game due to an asset loading issue. Sorry for the interruption and thanks for your patience!

If you encounter an issue in the game or something appears off or incorrect, or if you have an idea for improvement, please make sure to let the developers know by submitting a Bug Report or Suggestion from in-game using the /bug or /suggestion commands

The login server is now restored and you can log into the game again.

There's an unexpected outage with the Legends of Aria services preventing players from logging into the game right now. We've alerted those involved and hope the issue is resolved quickly, thanks for your patience!

Unfortunately due to a data integrity issue, we have had to roll back to the last known good save at 01:30 UTC. We apologise for this inconvenience, however if we had not done this, there would have been data loss for various players.

This is a reminder that Daylight Savings Time (DST) begins on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Clocks will be set forward by one hour, which may affect how game times, events, and restarts appear in your local timezone.

Please note that our servers operate on UTC timezone, and neither the server time nor in-game activity schedules will change with the start of DST. All events and restarts will continue to occur at the same times in UTC. However, due to the DST change, the time at which these activities appear in your local timezone may have shifted.

Since DST adjustments occur at different times in various regions, we recommend checking your local time against UTC to ensure you stay on track with event schedules.

We've restarted the server to clear out some cobwebs that were lingering in the connection. The server should be back online now or within a few minutes. Sorry for the interruption and thanks for your patience!

UPDATE: The connectivity issue with users in Europe is now resolved, you should be able to log in again as normal. If you have any further connection issues please let us know, thanks for your patience!

We're currently experiencing issues with one of our providers serving the European market. Our team has submitted a detailed ticket, including specific player feedback, to expedite troubleshooting. While we're optimistic about a swift resolution, please note that it may take up to 24 hours (or longer) to fully restore service. We will provide updates as soon as we have more information.

Note: Some users have reported that connecting via a VPN from outside the affected region can serve as a temporary workaround.

We'd like to welcome the newest member of the team, Ned! He has extensive experience with technical team leadership, development, and even more valuable skills, plus a passion for Shards of Britannia! To start, Ned will be diving into development and Game Master related duties in-game. Please give him a warm welcome!

This is just a brief announcement with regards to the notice of Legends of Aria Classic sunsetting. At this time, this does not affect Shards of Britannia and we will continue to operate unless otherwise notified.

For full transparency, work on moving to our own login server is almost complete. We'll announce more when we are closer to that goal.

Just to repeat again - we do not expect any impact on Shards of Britannia from the announcement that Legends of Aria is sunsetting. We are sad to see the project come to an end as it is the foundation of everything we have built here with Shards of Britannia, and we wish Supreem and co all the best for the future.

We’re excited to announce the start of our overworld revamp, aimed at making hunting more fun and challenging. These are only the first of many upcoming changes to overworld spawns. The first areas updated include:

  • Wind Mountain Area

    • Harpies that previously spawned alongside drakes have been moved to an area outside Covetous.
    • Fire Elementals and Dragons now spawn alongside the drakes, offering a tougher challenge.
  • Yew Peninsula (NW of Shame)

    • This region has been overrun by the undead.
    • The ruins once inhabited by Lizardmen are now guarded by Liches and Lich Lords with hordes of weaker undead roaming the area.
